The store doesn't work

everytime I try to open the store to look into purchasing donuts or whatever else they offer there.  The store just gets stuck on retrieving items and it never moves from that.  If my phone locks and I unlock it it just goes back to the game.  I have never been able to access the store and I can't figure out why.  

Any thoughts?

Bump..... want to get Kang before he disappears and can't buy the 132 donuts I need to buy the ray gun!!!!
