Terwilliger's quest line does not give you enough time to get masks

I'm currently ranked #9 out of my 99 friends,  I play every morning and multiple times after 5pm, yet it seems impossible to get enough theatre masks.  I didn't want to waste the masks on upgrading the building because of the limited time. It seems like the developers are trying to force you to buy donuts.  I have ignored other quests to focus on this special event. It doesn't seem fair and I think this event should be extended for a week or two. Does anyone know if the event will be extended,  and if so, for how long? I have put a lot of time and effort to earn and save the special event currency - I would hate to see it wasted.

Agreed. I buy lots of Premium Stuff. I play quite often and have all the super expensive buildings, I guess they're called Aspiration buildings. Anyway I put a lot of time in and I do buy lots of stuff, but being made to feel FORCED to buy stuff to complete an event is a terrible way to do business.
