Stuck in the church

The church can't be placed into inventory and won't release homer.
Please fix

Do you have the church in its regular skin or in the Halloween skin? If it's set to the "heck house" change it to normal. If that doesn't work or it doesn't have a Halloween skin, contact a game advisor for help with this: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/

Then do the following:
Click on: Tapped Out and next.
Enter your platform and next.
Briefly describe your issue and next.
An option to contact EA will come up.

It's set to heck house skin
When you click on it it flashes briefly and then goes away.
Not long enough to change skin.
4 characters are in there all completed tasks, no thumbs to release them either.
Town hall short cut directs me too the church but provides no access
