If it is EAs servers then nothing can be done by you.
Clear device cache, delete apps/data to free up space, hardclose app, shut off device, turn off/switch wifi/connection and restart. This helps sometimes.
Also clear pending requests in the game both sent and recived. It is not unusual to get Barted or autoshutdown up to 40 times a day.
