That is really strange! You have no menu buttons bottom right? No visit friends, no 4arrow edit mode, no store?
I would get in touch with EA and ask them to fix it.

Contact EA directly http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/ and ask for a gameadvisor. Same login as the game.
