I've lost 500 donuts on Simpsons tapped out. What do I do? I have lost everything because my game reset.

You question is a little confusing. Did you just lose your donuts or your entire game?
If it's your entire game try force closing the game by pulling up the App Manager and swiping the game away. You may have to do that several times before it takes.
If it's just donuts you'll have to contact Customer Support. When setting up the case select "Technical support" as your Topic, then later "Game performance" as your Issue.

It was the hole game and I have tryed what you have suggested to do.
This has happened to me a few times and I have never been returned my progress nor my donuts.
