@rami__wwee please manually uninstall Origin, then download the latest version of Origin and run the installation again. When starting Origin after this please make sure to run it with Admin rights.

This worked for me after lots of patience, sweat, and tears:
Press the windows and "r" key at the same time
type in "msconfig"
press "ok"
Select the bubble "selective startup"
uncheck the box "Load startup items"
Go to the "services" tab
check the box "hid all microsoft services"
select "disable all"
then click "apply"
then click "ok"
it will ask you to restart your computer. click "ok"
After it restarts, should be working fine!

@EA_Kristi I did this, twice, still having the same problem with the updatetool.exe
Any other suggestions would be appreciated?

So, it appears third time is the charm, I must have missed something in the instructions first couple of times. Thanks!

The only problem is that origin has this problem by blocking/stopping of origin client service to fix it just:
first press ''windows button'' and ''R'' at the same time.
a small window name as ''run'' will open, write in it ''msconfig''
open services on the bar above and check(tick) ''hide all microsoft services''
uncheck(untick) ''origin client services''
uncheck(untick) ''hide all microsoft services''
press ''apply'' and than press ''ok''
