Zero touch screen response - new update

Reporting a bug after the last update v.1.18.13 - the touch function on the game stopped working completely. I use an LG G5, and my touch works with everything else. I have restarted the app, restarted my phone, even uninstalled and reinstalled (while losing my progress) and the app still doesn't let me tap on anything. I contacted live help and have attached screenshots of the conversation.

UPDATE: I recently upgraded from the LG G5 to the new Samsung galaxy S8. Downloaded this game from the app store on my new device and same problem. I don't know how anyone else can be playing.
