So whats up with the crashing

So here is my issue I was game sharing the game with a friend and then he stopped game sharing so I bought the game. Now every time my friends try to join my backyard battle ground or anything else other than multiplayer their game crashes. I can only play multiplayer with them. Any fixes?? Has this happened to other users?
