I have downloaded the Origin app as per the website download button but now nothing will "open up" when I click on the app on my homescreen.
Why isn't it working?

This is probably a connection issue. Please try the steps in the following article: https://help.ea.com/article/connection-issues-with
If this doesn't help, to rule out conflicting program issues, you should try a Clean Boot.
