Origin installation error 19:0

Hello, I have been trying to download origin to buy mass effect andromeda as well as to play my previous purchases however I always get error 19:0 when installing. I know there are other threads on here about this but their answers did not work for me, I also tried posting here (http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/error-19-0/m-p/5923473/highlight/false#M250279) but it seems my reply didn't go through so I created a new topic.

I have already tried:

- installing as admin

- turning off windows firewall and defender (I'm on windows 10 btw) then installing as an admin

- clean boot followed by the above

- creating a new admin account and trying all of the above

nothing works and I still get the very same error 19:0

any help would be appreciated! I have attached my tasklist as that seems to help in determining any conflicts with origin. Thanks for looking in!

Hi David, thanks for getting back to me. I ended up getting in touch with EA through the phone and we messed around doing a bunch of stuff that did not work. In the end I was told that it appeared a registry file had some error and that I would need to contact my computer manufacturer (I built it...). 

What I decided to do was reset my windows 10 which deletes all files, applications and settings and try installing origin again. This worked, I now have origin installed and am in the process of installing ME:A. Not an ideal solution but it worked and I mostly had games on my computer anyways...

@Odysseus_d_Boss Hey, it seems that your other post was caught by the spam filter, it's been cleared up now. Can you try setting your user account control to Always Notify, then try the install again? Do you get any extra prompts? Please say yes to any requests, hopefully that will help. 

Be sure to double check that your security software is disabled while doing this, too.

Hi David, I changed my settings to be on Always Notify and tried installing again with security software off but again it gave me error 19:0. There were no extra prompts.

I see, thanks for the extra info. Can you try the full uninstall ("the hard way") as detailed in the first link below, then try a clean boot restart? Manually disable your security software again, and try the fresh install.

I tried going through all those steps twice and it did not work, I again got the same error 19:0...

Are there any other things that I could try? I really want to get ME:A and at this point am kind of desperate to get Origin installed.

I have even tried installing older versions of Origin and then updating it once installed. I was able to install Origin 8.3.7.3619 but for some reason it would not connect online to update to a new version. When trying to install version 9.1.12.73 it ran into errors installing so I wasn't even able to try updating. This absolutely nuts how difficult it is being to install Origin on a computer that is barely over a year old.

I have already tried that several times. I tried it again with all the steps mentioned above including the manual uninstall of origin, clean boot, firewalls turned off etc. I still get the same damn error 19:0. There are no windows that pop up with any prompt, the installer downloads the latest version of origin and then gets ~20% of the way through installation before failing and giving me the error.

I wonder, if you check your reliability monitor does it give a crash report for the failed instalL?

I checked and there is nothing about origin anywhere in the reliability monitor. Even if I try to install origin again with the monitor open nothing appears in the reliability monitor
