I installed origin last week to pre load Mass effect. suddenly origin won't run. I launch the application and the program crashes immediatley saying it has encoutered a serious error and has to quit. I'm not sure what I can do. I tried uninstalling and re installing after a restart. no luck. I tried running in admin, same crash. I tried clearing out my cache for origin. still crashing. what can I do to fix this?

Okay I manually uninstalled and restarted in a clean boot. I ran the clean installer in admin mode and once origin signed it, it unceremoniously crashed as usual. what can I do?

I am sorry to hear that
Could you please run Origin Error Report (the OriginER.exe to do this is in the Origin client installation folder, in case of default install path C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin) and post the ID for the report here?

I ran the OriginER.exe and it's asking me to enter an ID number? I thought it would generate one that I was supposed to post here? where do I find the ID number for the error?

Sorry for the confusion @Savvy30039.
The ID field should be filled with your EA account ID, so just type in Savvy30039.

I know this may sound like strange advice, but could you please update your graphics card drivers as your current ones seem to be from 2015. I do believe these are the latest drivers for your card: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/116342/en-us
Out of date graphics card drivers or old cards have caused some issues in the past forcing users to use the legacy Origin 9 client.
Let me know if the same thing happens after updating drivers.

Hey I've had a similar problem and it has not been addressed yet.
I've also lurked in this thread and followed all of the steps.
I have also submitted a ER Origin report. My Report ID # is :

This one is a bit strange and nothing immediately stands out. Just to check, could you please try running Origin after rebooting in Safe mode with networking?
