Origin Stops Working When Cloud Syncing

I had to reinstall Windows 10 a few weeks ago and decided I wanted to get back into the Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer. I installed Origin and ME:A, but when I start the game, Origin tries to sync my save data and when it reaches 97% a pop-up appears stating Origin has stopped working. Mass Effect is the ONLY EA game I play and if this can't be fixed, I'm done with them completely.

Looks like the progress on MP is saved server side, which is what really matters as the ME:A story is so badly/lazily written that I won't play it again or bother with story DLC anyway. Hello, @cobberwebb

Please open your origin client in clean boot mode. This is to see if other programs on your PC are interfering with the client.

Then, open origin by right clicking on it, choose "run as administrator"

Please let us know the result.

Nope, still the same result. Absolutely nothing else running except Origin, and ran Origin AND ME:A as Admin from program folders.

You need to go into your Origin client click file: click Application Settings / Install&Saves -you will see that CLoud storage is either checked or not. In your case it should be checked. Just uncheck it. Now close Origin,run the setup file Origin with Admin rights  http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2

and try now.

NOTE but as an additional step to avoid the same problem in the future, try to clear Origin cache https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/origin-my-games-list-is-blank/

Problem is that now my progress in MP and SP is reset. I need it to sync with the cloud save or my 100 hours I'v put in the game will be lost. I need to download the save file(s) outside of Origin and manually copy them into the ME:A folder.
