So I am getting this issue where I click 'Conquest' to join a game and then once it has done matchmaking it goes to a black screen and I get a message saying that I have lost connection. I am pretty sure I have tried everything to fix this issue apart from buying a new router or changing internet provider.
Has anyone been contacted by EA and given a solution that worked?
Can people list what router they are using and had no issues with connection?
EA please respond to help me or at least give an update on this issue.
I really like this game and would love to play it again soon!

I am really sorry for those connection troubles. Have you tried to connect your PC and router with the direct LAN cable? Who is your ISP? And what is you router model? Also check this article on the most common connection issues. Keep me posted on this.

Hello!
First of all thanks you very much for your time and response.
I am currently connected to my Ethernet through the mainline so i will try using direct Ethernet cable next.
My ISP is BT and i have a BT Home Hub 5.
My next post will be the results of the direct Ethernet link.

Hello,
I have been able to play yes, however, to do this i need to disable my router firewall and my computer firewall to do this...
Last night, however, this didn't work either so i will try again tonight.

Have you tried whitelisting BF1 in your router and firewall? That should allow you to play without dropping your firewall.
