Community Manager

Below are the patch notes specific to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for the Star Wars Battlefront January patch update.

Bug fixes and tweaks
General:

  • General: Various minor UI issues.
  • General: Various lighting fixes
  • General: Various minor art updates on Rogue One: Scarif maps


Game Modes:

  • Walker Assault: Fixed a bug where three uplinks could be seen at the same time on Rogue One: Scarif maps
  • Walker Assault: Adjusted all Hero spawn points on Rogue One: Scarif maps
  • Walker Assault: Changed Y-wing timer to 30 seconds on Rogue One: Scarif maps
  • Walker Assault: Adjusted AT-AT health across all maps
  • Walker Assault: Adjusted AT-AT speed on Twilight on Hoth
  • Infiltration: Adjusted playable area during The Approach
  • Infiltration: Fixed an issue where users could not grab another Data tape after using the Jump Pack
  • Hero Hunt: Fixed a bug with the Hero selection screen
  • Heroes vs. Villains: Changed to only 1 set per map
  • Battle Station: R2-D2 ignores benefits from Bacta Bomb and Medical Droid
  • Private Match: Fixed an end of round issue on Infiltration where the U-wing didn't spawn if switching teams in a 1v1 match


Weapons & Star Cards:

  • Sonic Imploder: Fixed criteria for Grenadier Hutt contract regarding the Flash requirement
  • Sonic Imploder: Increased blast radius from 2 to 4 meters
  • Sonic Imploder: Increased explosion damage from 90 to 100
  • TIE Striker: Raised projectile speed from 800 to 1000 meters/second
  • TIE Striker: Increased explosion damage from 5 to 10
  • A-180: Fixed a rare bug where users could be spawned with their regular Star Card primary hand instead of the A-180 module


Heroes:
General

  • Most stuns will be prevented for 2 seconds after a Hero has been stunned once. This doesn’t apply to specific stuns like Force Choke and Force Push

Bossk

  • Reduced Microgrenades inner radius from 3 to 2.5 meters
  • Reduced Microgrenades radius from 5 to 4 meters

Chewbacca

  • Increased Roar recharge time from 28 to 35 seconds
  • Decreased main projectile Explosion damage from 45 to 38

Darth Vader

  • Can now use his Saber Throw and Heavy Strike when Force Choking
  • Increased Trait radius from 10 meters to 15
  • Trait no longer affect enemies
  • Trait values now correctly match the UI description, Level 1 20%, Level 2 50%, Level 3 80%

Leia

  • Increased Trait radius from 8 to 13 meters
  • Fixed looping stun animation on Trooper Bane shots
  • Stormtroopers affected by Bacta will now be defeated by Trooper Bane
  • Trait values now correctly match the UI description, Level 1 20%, Level 2 40%, Level 3 60%

Krennic

  • Increased Trait radius from 10 to 12 meters
  • Armor Breaker is applying the armor reduction after the damage is done
  • Reduced Armor Breaker homing capabilities
  • Trait values now correctly match the UI description, Level 1 10%, Level 2 20%, Level 3 40%

Luke

  • Decreased speed at Trait level 3 from 80% to 70%
  • Shield Deflection can now block Krennic’s Armor Breaker ability

Jyn

  • Increased Pistol End damage from 35 to 69
  • Increased Pistol start falloff damage from 40 To 50
  • Increased Pistol end falloff damage from 60 To 70
  • Decreased Rifle configuration Overheat per bullet from 0.068 to 0.055

Lando

  • Will no longer be damaged from his Power Blast Explosion
  • Power Blast now goes on cooldown properly after deactivation

Greedo

  • Stuns Luke out of Block for 2 seconds when shooting him with Slow targeting

Boba Fett

  • Increased Flamethrower damage against Chewbacca by 50%


Vehicles:

  • U-Wing: Fixed missile warning issues

Battlefront Dec 10th Patch Notes (PC)

Hey, the Patch Notes for today's update are below. 

Miscellaneous Updates and Tweaks:

  • Added Dolby Atmos support for PC players
  • Fixed an issue where one out of 12 players remained in the loading screen on Swamp Crashsite, Sorosuub Centroplex, and Graveyard of Giants in Heroes vs. Villains and Walker Assault multiplayer modes
  • Fixed an issue where two players would spawn in a damage area that doesn’t match visual lava

Walker Assault Updates and Tweaks:

  • Increased AT-AT health on Endor

Hero Updates and Tweaks:

  • Removed auto-lock on Boba Fett´s missile.

Weapons, Gadgets and Star Cards Tweaks:

  • Tweaked impact damage for Impact grenade from 100 to 90

Battlefront Patch notes Jan 26th

Below are the patch notes specific to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for the January update.

Additional Content/Functionality:

  • Multiplayer modes added to the Tatooine Survival map. (Blast, Droid Run, Hero Hunt, Heroes vs Villains, Drop Zone)
  • Hoth Luke Skywalker skin added
  • Hoth Han Solo skin added
  • Private match functionality added
  • Daily challenges added
  • Setting for actively choosing server site added


Weapon and Star Card changes:

  • EE-3 Explosive shot damage decreased from 10 to 4 per shot
  • SE-14C Explosive shot damage decreased from 10 to 5 per shot
  • Homing Shot lock on time increased from 0.4 to 1.5
  • Homing Shot lock on distance decreased by 10 meters
  • Homing Shot projectile speed decreased slightly (30 -> 23)
  • RTC-97 overheat value is increased
  • Bowcaster replenish time tweaked (Normal 18 -> 25 and Upgrade 15 -> 20)
  • Flash Grenade replenish time tweaked (Normal 16 -> 20 and Upgrade 12 -> 15)
  • ION Torpedo replenish time tweaked (Normal 15 -> 25 and Upgrade 12 -> 20)
  • Thermal Detonator replenish time tweaked (Normal 15 -> 20 and Upgrade 10 -> 15)

  • Cycler Rifle bullet dropoff reduced
  • Cycler Rifle damage increased from 90 to 100 at close range (10 meters)
  • DL-44 overheat tweaked and fire rate changed from 250 to 180.
  • Bounty Hunter trait card Level 2 reward percentage lowered from 100% to 85%
  • Bowcaster explosion damage lowered from 50 to 15 per shot
  • ION Torpedo lock on range decreased from 600 to 500 meters
  • Smart Rocket lock on range changed from 1000 to 500 meters
  • RTC-97 spread is increased when firing for a longer period
  • Scan Ping tweaked to have 50% shorter spotting time


Vehicle Changes:

  • Starfighters pickups have a 20 second respawn delay
  • T-47 Airspeeder pickups have a 10 second respawn delay
  • Millennium Falcon and Slave I health decreased by 30%


Game Mode Changes:

  • Removed a turbolaser on Sullust which could be used for spawn killing
  • Turbolaser respawn time has been increased with 15 seconds
  • New friend zones and additional spawn points for Supremacy maps
  • New friend zones and additional spawn points for Walker Assault maps
  • New friend zones and additional spawn points for Turning Point on Jakku
  • Bugfix for crashing instantly when spawning in a vehicle on Jakku
  • Fighter Squadron hero vehicle pickups have more randomized timing
  • Fixed a Heroes vs Villains bug where players could use their cards in pre-round that got corrected by server
  • Updated spawn management between big and small game modes
  • New game mode minimum player count thresholds:

- Walker Assault 20

Hero Changes:

  • Han Solo weapon damage over distance is lowered. (Damage goes from 70 to 30 between 10 and 25 meters)
  • Boba Fett weapon damage over distance is lowered. (Damage goes from 30 to 20 between 30 and 60 meters)
  • Boba Fett wristlauncher explosion radius decreased from 4 to 3, maxiumum damage tweaked from 1 to 0.8 meters
  • Boba Fett missile doesn't lock on anymore
  • Boba Fett wristlauncher explosion damage slightly increased in damage to compensate for the removing of tracking


Bug Fixes:

  • Stun inducing attacks now properly trigger stun animation loop
  • Fixing an issue where melee'ing at nothing completly stopped your movement
  • After the transition from the AT-AT the user screen could remain black, this is now fixed
  • Several instances of rocks that players could get stuck on have been fixed
  • Speederbike - Inconsistence between the range when you see the prompt button and when you could actually use the vehicle
  • Jakku - Invisible collision located on the landed rebel transport ship
  • Users with the most kills will now not be prevented from get the Trophy / Achievement ”Playing the objective” in Blast

Battlefront Patch Notes 23rd February

Below are the patch notes specific to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for the February Update.

Additional Content/Functionality

  • General: Jakku DLC Content is being patched into the game, downloading it separately via platform storefronts is no longer required and can be deleted from your hard drives
  • New Map: Twilight on Hoth added to Walker Assault, Supremacy, Turning Point, Blast, Fighter Squadron, Drop Zone, and Heroes vs. Villains
  • New Mission: Survival in the Ice Caves added to Survival Missions
  • Turning Point: Jundland Wastes, Forest of Endor, Outpost Beta, and SoroSuub Centroplex maps added to the playlist
  • Attract Mode: GNK Droid added - GONK!
  • Settings: Turning off music in the Sound menu now turns off music everywhere in the game
  • Settings: Added a Film Grain setting slider in the Video menu
  • Credits: Updated Game Credits list


Weapon and Star Card Changes

  • Primary Weapons: Damage against air vehicles increased by 10%
  • Bowcaster: Explosion damage increased from 10 to 15 per projectile and explosion radius decreased from 3 to 2.5m
  • Bowcaster: Full charge direct hit from 20 to 40 per projectile and a normal direct hit increased from 20 to 30 per projectile
  • Barrage: Damage increased from 50 to 55
  • Barrage: Cooldown reduced from 40 to 35s (normal) and from 35 to 30s (upgraded)
  • Barrage: First volley of grenades no longer disappear if the user uses the Refresh Power-up and then fires a second volley
  • Homing Shot: Lock time decreased from 1.5 to 1.2s
  • Homing Shot: Players in the AT-GAR turret now receive on-screen notification when locked on
  • ION Torpedo: Speed increased from 350 to 380m/s and turning angle increased from 120 to 125 in order to more easily hit air vehicles
  • Pulse Rifle: Movement speed while aiming decreased by 30%
  • Tusken Cycler Rifle: Movement speed while aiming increased by 40%
  • Tusken Cycler Rifle: Bullet speed increased from 300 to 450m/s
  • Orbital Strike: Fixed bug where it sometimes would not trigger on button press


Vehicle changes

  • A-Wing: Increased hit box size
  • A-Wing: Now properly takes damage when colliding with an AT-ST while having the Shield active
  • Slave I: Players can now see the Shield icon on Rebel vehicles when a Shield is active
  • AT-ST: T-47 Airspeeder kills with a missle while firing the primary cannons at the same time now properly awards a kill (previously registered as a suicide)
  • AT-AT: Fixed bug where the Orbital Strike ability would sometimes not have the aiming reticle move
  • T-47 Airspeeder: Players will no longer receive an out of bounds message on Graveyard of Giants during Turning Point when a control point is captured


Multiplayer Game Mode Changes

  • General: Pre-Round timer lowered from 30s to 20s
  • Walker Assault: Fixed Power-up spawns on SoroSuub Centroplex
  • Walker Assault: AT-AT health increased by 18% on Outpost Beta, 8% on Jundland Wastes, 20% on Forest of Endor, 4% on SoroSuub Centroplex, and 5% on Graveyard of Giants
  • Walker Assault: Spawning as an Imperial Hero after the AT-ATs just pass the second set of uplinks no longer despawns one of the AT-ATs
  • Walker Assault: The second AT-AT no longer bumps into the wreckage of the other on SoroSuub Centroplex when the first AT-AT is destroyed during the first Uplink
  • Droid Run: Correct Objective Notification is now displayed to all players if someone is killed while trying to claim the Droid
  • Droid Run: Improved spawn zones on Dune Sea Exchange
  • Supremacy: Fixed Power-up spawns on Jundland Wastes, Forest of Endor, and SoroSuub Centroplex
  • Supremacy: Improved spawn zones on Jundland Wastes, Outpost Beta, and Forest of Endor
  • Heroes vs. Villains: Planted turrets on Dune Sea Exchange will now disappear in-between rounds
  • Hero Hunt: Improved spawn zones on Ice Caves
  • Fighter Squadron: Players are now protected while spawning on Graveyard of Giants


Mission Changes

  • General: Both players will now properly see Charge Card pick-ups if Player One is using a 3rd Star Card Hand without a Charge Card
  • General: Player 2's changes to control settings no longer update Player 1's controls when playing Split-Screen
  • Battle: Fixed AI Spawn issues on Tatooine
  • Survival: Wave 10 on Sullust will now always spawn if the player / co-op team dies and restarts the round or if a player picks up a Collectible during the Wave 9 transition
  • Survival: Partner spawns on Sullust will no longer fail if the currently alive player is in a confined area
  • Survival: Co-Op players can now unlock the "Complete on Hard Difficulty without spending a life" if one player dies and then waits until the other player completes the wave so they get a free respawn


Hero changes

  • General: Heroes no longer get stuck in a stunned animation state
  • Princess Leia: Endor outfit updated - Congrats on completing the Lead the Rebellion challenge!
  • Princess Leia: Trooper Bane now only knocks back primary target, not nearby enemies
  • Luke Skywalker: Increased Saber Rush's damage against other Heroes from 2% to 6-8%
  • Luke Skywalker: Lightsaber swing hit radius is reduced from 0.3 to 0.25m
  • Han Solo: Zooming in no longer sometimes displays a gun scope
  • Emperor Palpatine's Shocktroopers: Modified primary weapon damage to match Leia's Honor Guards' primary weapon damage over time


Misc. Bug fixes

  • General: Lighting, textures, audio, user interface, text, and collision fixes
  • Controls: Legacy control schemes have had their layouts more clearly defined
  • Colorblind: Enemy players highlighted with Scan Pulse now have the correct Deuteranopia or Protanopia settings on Graveyard of Giants and Goazan Badlands
  • PC only: Fixed a bug where a player would lose functionality with an Xbox 360 controller after inviting a player to a Private Match and then starting the game
  • PC only: Air vehicle sensitivity lowered from 0.9 to 0.45 for easier mouse control
  • Achievements / Trophies: Updated text on "Impressive. Most Impressive." and "Survivor" to clarify the requirements
  • Achievements / Trophies: "Playing the Objective" now properly awarded

Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim Update (PS4, PC, & X1)

Below are the patch notes specific to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for the Outer Rim Update.

Additional Content/Functionality

  • Outer Rim: Now available for Season Pass owners
  • New Feature: Hutt Contracts add a new way of obtaining Weapons and Star Cards
  • New Feature: Spectator Mode introduces a way to watch Private Match games with a variety of camera angles and the ability to swap between players quickly
  • Multiplayer Menu: Redesigned the screen to facilitate players being able to get into a game mode more quickly and easily
  • Multiplayer: Teams will now re-balance when transitioning between maps
  • Teamplay Focus: New feature in which an objective can be highlighted by each player to highlight where players are heading; press X (Xbox One), Square (PlayStation 4), or E (PC)
  • Ranks: Increased Rank cap from 50 to 60
  • Scoreboard: Added icons for playing as a Hero, playing in a vehicle, and player ping
  • Scoreboard: Rearranged Score to be the first column represented
  • Scoreboard: Faded player row to signify when a player has been defeated
  • Combat: Added combat roll to non-Hero characters; strafe and double tap B (Xbox One) or Circle (PlayStation 4), for PC strafe and press Alt (can be rebound)
  • Partner: The Partner Icon will now be visible on screen at all times
  • UX: The currently selected Trait card is now shown in the deploy screen
  • Credits: Updated Game Credits list


Weapon and Star Card Changes

  • New Weapons: The DL-18 and the DLT-19X can be obtained via Hutt Contrats
  • New Powerup: The T-7 Ion Disruptor has been added to the powerup pool
  • General: Triggering a card right before death will no longer result in an effect not triggering and the card going on cooldown
  • Bodyguard: Corrected the Level 3 description from "Decreases explosive damage by a high amount AND blaster damage by a small amount" to "Decreases explosive damage by a medium amount AND blaster damage by a small amount"
  • Survivalist: Corrected the Level 3 description from "Health regeneration starts much faster AND replenish a small amount of health with each kill" to "Health regeneration starts faster AND replenish a small amount of health with each kill"
  • Bounty Hunter: Corrected the Level 3 description from "High chance to get a Power-up with each kill AND resets cooldown with each kill" to "Medium chance to get a Power-up with each kill AND current cooldowns decreases with each kill"
  • Bounty Hunter: Modified drop chances and cooldowns - Level 1: 25% Drop chance, Level 2: 50% Drop chance, & Level 3: 50% Drop chance AND 75% cooldown on each kill
  • Shields: Personal Shield, Squad Shield, & the Blaster Cannon will now deflect and absorb most forms of projectiles; exceptions being the Cycler Rifle, Scatter Gun & Proximity Bomb
  • Shields: When Personal Shield is active, the player is unable to fire weapons and throw grenades, but can still deploy droids, turrets, & call in Heroes and vehicles
  • Bowcaster: Updated damage to be consistent across all 3 charge levels - Projectile damage is now 40, Explosion damage is now 33, & the Explosion radius is now 2m
  • Bowcaster: Lowered max hold time from 5 to 3s
  • Bowcaster: Now properly goes on cooldown when firing a shot and then quickly entering a turret
  • Barrage: Lowered fuse timer from 2-2.25 to 1-1.5s
  • Barrage: Decreased inner explosion radius from 3 to 2m
  • Impact Grenade: Increased damage from 90 to 100
  • Impact Grenade: Decreased explosion radius from 2.25 to 2m
  • Ion Grenade: No longer deals collision damage
  • Flashbang Grenade: Added a screenshot component to give it an extra disorienting effect
  • Scan Pulse: Cooldown time increased from 10 to 18s (normal) and 8 to 16s (upgraded)
  • DL-44: Damage decreased from 19 to 13 at a ranges greater than 40m
  • Powerups: Deployed Droids and Turrets will now self-destruct after 20s when the owner is defeated
  • Blaster Cannon: Kills will now count towards leveling Trait Cards
  • Blaster Cannon: No longer takes splash damage from its own shots
  • E-Web: Players now correctly take damage when right up against the barrel of the gun
  • Viper Probe & R5-D4 Droid: Spawn protection decreased from 2 to 0.5s
  • R5-D4: Now shows the correct health bar color for both teams
  • Smart Rocket: No longer fires from the center of the player camera, now from the barrel of the weapon
  • Vehicle Turret: Destroying this will now properly grant you score
  • Jump Pack: Cooldown lowered from 25 to 22 (normal) and from 20 to 17 (upgraded)


Vehicle Changes

  • T-47 Airspeeder: Now properly explodes when hitting the ground after a player ejects
  • T-47 Airspeeder: During Walker Assault it is no longer possible to switch Tow Cable targets during the Tow Cable event
  • Speeder Bike: Kills with the cannon are now properly displayed
  • Speeder Bike: No longer takes damage when just outside the edge of the Orbital Strike boundary
  • AT-ST: No longer takes damage from fire
  • AT-ST: Changed the max pitch on the grenade launcher
  • Millennium Falcon & Slave I: Now are immediately destroyed when crashing into the ground while in 1st Person view
  • DF-9: Laser fire is now visible when angling the turret up
  • Y-Wing: Players are now properly notified if they are killed by a Y-Wing


Multiplayer Game Mode Changes

  • General: Misc spawning improvements across various map & mode combinations
  • General: Princess Leia's Honor Guard and Emperor Palpatine's Shocktroopers are limited to only 2 spawns during the Heroes vs. Villains and Extraction Game Modes
  • General: Players no longer instantly die during vehicle deployment after having taken damage that would kill them prior to the transition
  • Fighter Squadron: Games will no longer end in a draw when a player that crashes into the ground would have awarded the winning points
  • Fighter Squadron: Vehicles of equal size will now both be destroyed when colliding regardless if one vehicle is shielded
  • Hero Hunt: Redesigned the way in which the new Hero is selected, now the top 3 damage dealers have a chance to be the next Hero - Spin the Wheel!
  • Blast: Re-added Sulphur Fields back into the Blast map rotation
  • Drop Zone: Altered player count from 16 to 12


Mission Changes

  • Survival: Stars earned in the Survival in the Ice Caves and Rebel Depot Missions now count towards your total in the social hub
  • Survival: Zoom now functions properly on all maps
  • Survival: The AT-ST during Wave 4 on Hoth will now properly spawn in
  • Split Screen: Player 2 can now see the health of Player 1's deployed turret
  • Split Screen: Player 2's Scan Pulse now highlights enemies as expected
  • Hero Battles: Friendly AI tokens will now properly award points to the enemy team during Solo Play
  • Battles: Losing a life in offline Battles is now correctly tracked when winning


Hero Changes

  • General: Fixed inconsistencies with blocking blaster fire between active and passive blocking for Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, & Emperor Palpatine
  • General: When blocking blaster fire modified with Explosive Shot or Ion Shot, Luke Skywalker & Darth Vader now deflect and reflect Explosive Shots or Ion Shots back
  • General: Heroes can no longer fire their weapon while melee'ing
  • Darth Vader: Increased health from 1500 to 1650
  • Darth Vader: Block ability time increased from 4 to 8s
  • Darth Vader: Decreased cooldown of Lightsaber Throw from 7 to 6s
  • Darth Vader: Increased distance of Lightsaber Throw by 3m
  • Luke Skywalker: Decreased health from 1000 to 925
  • Luke Skywalker: Slightly decreased running speed
  • Boba Fett: Increased the range at which his blaster damage starts to drop off from 30 to 45m
  • Boba Fett: Increased the range at which blaster damage is at the low end from 60 to 75m


Misc. Bug Fixes

  • General: Lighting, textures, audio, user interface, text, and collision fixes
  • General: Crash fixes
  • General: Partner and Party connection fixes
  • Map: Removed erroneous Stormtroopers outsider of the playable area from Heroes vs. Villains on Twilight on Hoth

Battlefront May Client Update (PS4, PC, & X1)

Below are the patch notes specific to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for the May client update.

General:

  • Added a system which allow players to see if an enemy currently has a charge card active by adding an icon above the enemies’ health bar.
  • PC: Made it so that combat roll triggers on press, and not on release.
  • PC: Pressing enter will now open the chat channel.
  • Vehicles: Resolved an issue which would make players invincible after attempting to enter a vehicle.
  • Vehicles: A timer has been added to Imperials exiting vehicles. Before they could instantly leave certain vehicles.
  • Vehicles: Increased the time to enter a speeder bike from 0.3 to 0.5s.
  • Combat Roll: Performing a melee attack at the same time as a combat roll will no longer break the animation.
  • Combat Roll: Resolved an issue in which players couldn’t see another player performing a combat roll.
  • Combat Roll: There’s now a 1.5s cooldown.
  • Deluxe Edition: Resolved an issue in which the upgraded version of Ion Torpedo was awarded instead of the regular version.
  • General: Various tweaks to the auto balance and matchmaking systems.

Stability:

  • Disconnect: Fixed an issue in which players were getting disconnected after observing another players profile in the social hub while playing In game.
  • Disconnect: Pressing the up arrow in the private match lobby would cause players to disconnect to the menu if they hadn't visited the game modes screen.
  • Crash: The player will no longer crash when observing the Shadow Trooper diorama figurine.
  • Crash: Resolved a rare crash issue which could occur if a player joined another server while waiting in the in-game lobby.
  • Crash: Resolved a crash issue which could occur when reaching max rank and getting to the End of Round screen.


UI:

  • UI: The issue with score and credits being displayed as 0 = 0, has been resolved. Now the correct amount of score and credits obtained will now be displayed in the End of Round flow.
  • UI: Resolved an issue which would occur when a player is Rank 60, but the End of Round flow would display the rank as 59.This also resolves other various desync issues with stats.
  • UI: Soldiers heads aren’t obstructed anymore in the appearance menu by the unlock price.
  • UI: Removed a blur effect that was present over the soldier in the deployment screen on certain levels.
  • UI: The kill card will now show which trait card the enemy currently has equipped.


Weapons & Star Cards

  • Personal Shield: Players can now use the shield at the same time as the Jump pack.
  • Personal Shield: Players can now swap weapons at the same time as the shield is active.
  • Charge Cards: The duration timer would be decreased by half when standing close to the shipment in the game mode Extraction. Now it's only the charge card cooldown that is decreased by half when standing close to the shipment.
  • Dioxis Grenade: Added a new scoring event for when you deal damage.
  • Dioxis Grenade: Now the player will not be able to inflict self-damage when throwing a Dioxis Grenade next to a vehicle and then entering it.
  • Dioxis Grenade: Increased the inner radius from 3 to 4m.
  • Dioxis Grenade: Increased damage ticks. Increased inner radius damage from 6 to 7. Outer radius damage increased from 4 to 5. A total of 12 health will be dealt each tick when standing in the inner radius.
  • DLT-19X: Removed a moment penalty that would occur when zooming in.
  • DT-12: Raised rate of fire from 180 to 220.
  • Relby-V10: Raised max damage from 24 to 25.
  • RT-97C: Lowered weapon sway, Min 0.25 to 0.2, Max 2 to 1.5.
  • Blaster Cannon: Increased inner explosion radius from 1 to 1.5m and the outer explosion radius from 1.5 to 2.5m.
  • Blaster Cannon: Increased explosion damage from 25 to 34.
  • Active Cooling: Made the fields slightly wider to make it easier even on the harder levels
  • Ion Detonator: Will explode on impact instead of after a delay.
  • Ion Detonator: Lowered inner explosion radius from 6 to 2m and the outer explosion radius from 7 to 4m.

Heroes:

  • UI: Hostile orbital strikes will no longer appear in the blue color while playing as a hero. Now a red color is used.
  • Darth Vader: Players killed by Darth Vader’s deflection will now correctly see his image in the kill card.
  • Darth Vader: Players who are currently being choked will not be able to interact with ingame objects, such as uplinks.
  • Darth Vader: Increased the damage output on Darth Vader’s Force Choke ability. It also now removes the effect of Adrenaline Stim.
  • Leia: Trooper Bane ability will now pass through shields.
  • Greedo & Nien Nunb: Other players are now unable to spawn on them when they are being attacked.
  • Greedo: Resolved an issue in the UI for the confidence ability which didn't update correctly once the confidence decreases.
  • Greedo: Changed Confidence 1 damage multiplier from 1.4 to 1.3. Confidence 2 damage multiplier from 1.9 to 1.7. Confidence 3 damage multiplier from 2.8 to 2.4

Game Modes:

  • Outer Rim: Increased the frequency of Extraction being played in the Outer Rim playlist from 50% to 75%. Two rounds of Extraction will now be played every other round.
  • Hero Hunt: Resolved the issues which allowed there to be two heroes at the same time.
  • Hero Hunt: Resolved a rare issue in which the interface would not appear after spawning in as a Hero in Hero Hunt.
  • Hero Hunt: Removed the hero selection wheel. Now only showing the score and appointing the top damage dealer to become the next hero.
  • Heroes Vs Villains: Decreased rounds required to win from 5 to 3 rounds if played in the Outer Rim playlist
  • Heroes Vs Villains: Decreased time until first round starts from 60 to 30 seconds
  • Heroes Vs Villains: Decreased time between round end and next one begins from 30 to 10 seconds
  • Fighter Squadron: Resolved an issue in which you could spawn in to a different vehicle type in Fighter Squadron if you deploy in exactly at the same moment as another player does it on the opposite team.
  • Cargo: Decreased time limit from 15 to 10 minutes if played in the Outer Rim playlist
  • Power-ups: Fixed various issues with Power-ups being unreachable or blocked by the Environment.
  • Spawns: Fixed player spawns across all modes on Ice Caves & Swamp Crash Site.


Stats & Progression:

  • Stats: Resolved an issue in which players didn't get any stats after completing rounds of Hero Hunt in certain instances.
  • Stats: Players should be able to observe all unlocked diorama figurines correctly when looking at another players profile in the social hub. Before only multiplayer based figurines would appear unlocked.
  • Hutt Contracts: Some descriptions and criteria have been made clearer.
  • Hutt Contracts: Updated the Criteria for DT-12, Relby-V10, and Scatter Gun to not require 15 kills in a round but rather 15 kills in total.
  • Hutt Contracts: Unlocks obtained during a game round will now become instantly available and will not require the player to leave the server to access them.
  • Diorama: Greedo Diorama criteria has been updated and now requires 7 unlocks. All players who have completed the 7 criteria pre-patch will have the diorama figurine automatically unlock next time they play and finish a round of multiplayer.
  • Accomplishments: Changed the required amount of kills for the various weapon related accomplishment streaks from 10 kills to 7 kills.
  • Scoring: Changed the term "Killstreak bonus" to "Combat Streak"
  • Scoring: Increased various objective based scoring events and decreased various combat oriented scoring events.

Developer Comments:

  • Vehicles: Resolved an issue which would make players invincible after attempting to enter a vehicle.

This occurred after we deployed an update that protects a soldier from being killed at the end of the call-in sequence and they have moved into their vehicle. If the sequence fails there wasn’t a signal sent back to remove this protection.

  • Personal Shield: Players can now use the shield at the same time as the Jump pack.
  • Personal Shield: Players can now swap weapons at the same time as the shield is active.

These were unintended effects of some changes we made to the core behavior of the shields. Switching weapons and using the jump pack should absolutely be possible. We are also listening to feedback regarding the charged cards as a whole, and have for the coming Bespin update implement a mean to actively turn the card off. This means you can manually disable your Charge card to push it into cooldown sooner, if no one is around you or you need to fire regular blaster bolts rather than Ion.

  • Dioxis Grenade: Added a new scoring event for when you deal damage.
  • Dioxis Grenade: Increased the inner radius from 3 to 4m.
  • Dioxis Grenade: Increased damage ticks. Increased inner radius damage from 6 to 7. Outer radius damage increased from 4 to 5. A total of 12 health will be dealt each tick when standing in the inner radius.

Overall we were immensely satisfied with the results of the Dioxis grenade, and how the weapon became a denial weapon rather than simply another way to quickly dispatch enemies. With that said, we agree that the weapon was somewhat lacking and the above changes were made with this mind. Again it’s not to make it an exceptionally lethal weapon, but it will cause some more harm as well as rewarding you with points for damaging soldiers who are inside the gas field.

  • DLT-19X: Removed a moment penalty that would occur when zooming in.
  • Active Cooling: Made the fields slightly wider to make it easier even on the harder levels

The DLT-19X is a widely discussed weapon. When we designed the weapon we were aware that it was not going to be a weapon that would be for everyone. There were however points of valuable feedback that we felt was important to take into account. Firstly, since the weapon overheats with each blast, the Cooling Flush skill game have been tweaked slightly to lower the difficult level on the two highest levels. Lastly, being closer to a sharpshooter rifle, the DLT-19X initially received a movement penalty even when zooming. In hindsight this didn’t feel in line with how all of our other blasters are built, so we opted to remove it. The challenge is already quite high with the weapon, so it should be as reliable as you’d expect from similar weapons, such as a T-21B.

  • Ion Detonator: Will explode on impact instead of after a delay.
  • Ion Detonator: Lowered inner explosion radius from 6 to 2m and the outer explosion radius from 7 to 4m.
  • Ion Detonator: Lowered the damage multiplier towards soldiers from 0.5X to 0.4X.

This started as a fix where the Ion Grenade wouldn’t hit the Shipments Squad shield though we researched its behavior further. Initially it was built as a grenade that reacts to vehicles, droids and gadgets and then explode on the ground a few second later if it wasn’t triggered. As our core combat loop rarely see the Ion Grenade being used as a mine, we reworked it slightly to explode on impact. It’s effectiveness against vehicles and droids is unchanged, but it can now also be used more reliably against soldiers if needed. It’s naturally not as effective as regular grenades, but now it provides more versatility than before.

  • Combat Roll: There’s now a 1.5s cooldown.

This was actually a bug and the 1.5 seconds is the intended gameplay. We’re looking at adding a visual cooldown to know when your combat roll is available.

  • Luke: Increased Health from 925 to 1050
  • Luke: Increased Blocking time from 4 to 6s

We’re happy with the speed changes to Luke, and the nerf brought him down to the same level as other heroes. He was a little bit low though so we increased his health but also wanted some skill to be involved in his survival and brought up his blocking between the original value and Darth Vader’s.

  • Greedo: Changed Confidence 1 damage multiplier from 1.4 to 1.3. Confidence 2 damage multiplier from 1.9 to 1.7. Confidence 3 damage multiplier from 2.8 to 2.4

Greedo’s not in a bad spot but he became too powerful against heroes when gaining confidence. This change should make him more balanced and bring him to average numbers.
Keep in mind this bug fix : “Greedo’s confidence levels cooldown’s would not reset properly on a kill, only on non-lethal damage.” It now properly reset on every hit, lethal or not. Which by fixing intended Gameplay, buffs Greedo.

  • Nien Nunb: Increased Proximity mine cooldown from 8 to 9s

Nien Nunb could really punish an AT-AT if left alone, so we’re taking down the damage multiplier to 100%.His Turret was also too powerful, so we’re changing locking times and damage to give more chance to escape it and stay alive. The change should bring him down closer to other heroes, we will monitor the result and see where he stands for next patch.

  • Outer Rim: Increased the frequency of Extraction being played in the Outer Rim playlist from 50% to 75%. Two rounds of Extraction will now be played every other round.
  • Heroes Vs Villains: Decreased rounds required to win from 5 to 3 rounds if played in the Outer Rim playlist
  • Cargo: Decreased time limit from 15 to 10 minutes if played in the Outer Rim playlist

We're noticing high activity for the Outer Rim playlist with healthy matchmaking across all regions. However, we are seeing a trend where players tend to abandon a playlist most frequently during games of Heroes vs Villains, with Extraction games being the least frequently abandoned by players. As a result, we have upped the frequency of Extraction games being featured in the playlist while tweaking the end conditions of other game modes in the Outer Rim to further decrease the waiting time between Extraction games.

  • Hero Hunt: Removed the hero selection wheel. Now only showing the score and appointing the top damage dealer to become the next hero.

We like the excitement provided by the hero selection wheel, but agreed with the feedback that players felt extremely frustrated from not getting picked as the hero despite having the highest chance on multiple occasions. This change should retain the excitement of the selection process while ensuring the game mode still fairly rewards the player that does the most damage to the heroes.

Bespin Update (PS4, PC, & X1)

Below are the patch notes specific to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for the Star Wars Battlefront Bespin client update.

New content for DLC owners:

New Environment:

  • Five new maps set around or on Cloud City.


New Weapons

  • X-8 Night Sniper: A blaster pistol with a focus on long range and a night vision scope.
  • EE-4: Spread burst weapon with short-to-medium range and high damage.


New Star Cards

  • Shock Grenade: A non-lethal grenade with a small radius that will stun opponents caught in the blast.
  • Scout Binoculars: Outlines enemy soldiers when zooming through the goggles. After pressing fire, any soldiers in line of sight get tagged for your entire team for 4-5 seconds.
  • Disruption: Instantly overheats the weapons of any soldiers in close proximity to the player.


New Heroes

  • Lando Calrissian
    - Power Blast – Once activated it will give a critical modifier on Lando’s blaster fire for a limited time
    - Shocking Trap – Throws a decoy on the ground to confuse the enemy and shock anyone that gets close.
    - System Disruption – Disrupt all nearby enemies weapons & star cards, setting them to overheat / cooldown. Also affects Hero abilities.
  • Dengar
    - Explosive Rush – Dengar runs forwards and sticks grenades to all enemies he passes.
    - Frenzied Blast – Greatly increases the fire-rate for his primary weapon.
    - Hurricane Strike – Perform a melee sweeping attack while running forward.


New Game Mode: Sabotage

  • The Empire are using Tibanna Gas Generators to power their tractor beams, preventing Rebel transports from escaping Cloud City. The Rebels must blow up the generators and defend their extraction point. The Empire must stop the Rebels and hunt them down.


New Hutt Contract:

  • A new batch of 8 Hutt Contracts.


Cloud Car:

  • Added the Cloud Car as a playable vehicle on the new maps. The cloud car features twin blaster cannons, concussion missiles and a sensor jammer.


New content for all players:

  • Ranks: Increased rank cap from 60 to 70.
  • Appearance: A new unlock for the Rebels, the Bespin wing guard.
  • Appearance: A new unlock for the Empire, the Shock Trooper
  • Palpatine: The honor guard have been updated and replaced with Royal Guards.
  • Leia: The honor guard have been updated and replaced with Alderaan Guards.


General:

  • Partner: Staying close to your partner will provide you with reduced cooldowns for all your Star Cards. This is illustrated via an icon above the in-game soldier. An exclamation mark means that you are too far away, a check mark means you are within distance, and a cross means your partner is dead.
  • Partner: Enemies that kill your partner will have a red outline for a brief period.
  • Partner: The game will now always try to auto assign you a new partner whenever you do not have one in-game. There are also in-game notifications to inform you that you’ve lost a partner and if a new partner has been found.
  • Partner: If you are not able to spawn on your partner there are now written explanations as to why. They are: Partner is in danger, Partner is out of bounds, Partner is inside a vehicle, or Partner is dead.
  • Partner: The distance to enemies that prevent spawning on partner has been reduced from 20m to 2m.
  • Private Matches: Bespin and Outer Rim maps and game mode have been added to private matches.Limited to owners of Bespin and Outer Rim DLC and Star Wars Battlefront Season pass.
  • Private Matches: Players are now able to select multiple maps and create a custom map rotation.
  • Private Matches: Team switching functionality has been added and is an option that can be toggled by the host.
  • Private matches: Team balance functionality has been added and is an option that can be toggled by the host.
  • Immortality: The immortality issue that could occur when spawning in to vehicles has been resolved. The time to spawn in to a vehicle has been reduced and players are no longer protected by immortality during this time period.
  • Social Hub: Resolved the issue related to players getting disconnected when navigating to a friend’s profile in the social Hub.
  • Rebel Vehicles: Added a modifier to X-Wing, A-Wing, and Millennium Falcon weapon energy when the shield is active. While active, weapons deal 25% less damage than what they do when the shields are not active.
  • Team Scramble: Added functionality for scrambling teams at map change.
  • Team Balance: Fixed various bugs that resulted in that team balance not functioning correctly on small game modes.
  • General: Various minor UI issues.
  • General: Resolved various spectator issues.
  • General: Updated various error messages used in game.
  • General: Updated the localization to resolve various text bugs.


UI:

  • Enemy Highlights: Enemies will be highlighted if they are inside the player’s crosshair for more than 1 second. The highlight will be removed after the crosshair isn’t on the enemy for 1 second.
  • Traits: Whenever an enemy has reached the third level with a trait card, it will now be visible above his health bar.
  • Frontend: A Cloud Car has been added in the rotation of FrontEnd objects.
  • Text chat (PC): Has been added to various places in the game, such as loading screens, lobby and End-of-Round.
  • Grenades: Resolved a bug in which there would be two grenade indicators overlapping when throwing a grenade.
  • Text chat (PC): Numpad Enter is no longer used to open the chat. Only regular Enter works.
  • Idle kick: Improvements to the system have been added and there’s now a countdown timer to illustrate when you will get kicked from the round.
  • Idle kick: The system will now observe if players are idle in the deployment screen.
  • Deploy screen: Spawn on Partner and regular Spawn have switched places in the deployment screen.
  • Event log: Callouts have been added when a Hero suicides or leaves the game.
  • End-of-Round: The summary page has been updated and now displays a few key stats from the concluded round.
  • End-of-Round: Added a “Skip” button in the end-of-round flow, once the next level has loaded.
  • Kill Card: Resolved a bug in which the trait card would occasionally be blank for some players.
  • Hutt Contracts: Resolved the bug that caused completed Hutt Contracts to stay in the end-of-round screen.
  • Hutt Contracts: Resolved a bug in which the Hutt Contract screen would still be present in the rest of the menu.
  • Match Making: Resolved a bug which caused the status to be displayed as “Expanding search to 0% full games”. The matchmaking systems as not affected by this bug as it was purely a visual issue.
  • Community: Added a unique identifier for all developers in-game.


Weapons & Star Cards

  • Charges: Players will be able to deactivate charges by holding down the Y/Triangle button on console and 2 on PC. Once this is done the effect will be removed and the charge will instantly enter a cool down state.
  • Scan Pulse: This card now continuously sends out pulses at set 2 second intervals. When someone is pulsed, they will remain visible for 0.5 seconds.
  • Bowcaster: The fire pattern has been altered. The following pattern will be used when charging the weapon:
    - Center projectile
    - Left & Right projectiles
    - Top & Bottom projectiles
  • Pulse Cannon: A laser glint has been added so players that are being targeted by the pulse cannon will be able to see a green laser on their screen thus revealing the location of the attacker.
  • Explosive Shot: The charge now will cause double the heat buildup on any weapon when being used. To balance this the time the charge is active has been increased for both normal (5 to 7s) and upgraded (7 to 10) cards.
  • Berserker (Trait): The berserker effect will trigger on 78% HP or less
  • Berserker (Trait): A vignette has been added to inform the player that the berserker effect is active.
  • Berserker (Trait): The armor multiplier has been increased while the berserker effect is active.
  • Blaster Cannon: A self-destruct timer has been added and will trigger 45 seconds after the blaster cannon has been used at least once. If the blaster cannon never was used, it will self-destruct after 15 seconds.
  • DLT-19: Raised initial damage from 15 to 17.
  • Ion Disruptor: Increased the explosive radius of the disruptor projectile. Inner explosion from 1 to 2.5m and outer explosion from 2.5 to 7m.


Heroes:

  • Heroes: Reduced damage to heroes from Pulse Cannon from 150% to 80%.
  • Palpatine: Increased lighting sustainability from 4 to 7 seconds.
  • Palpatine: Decreased lighting recharge time from 4 to 2 seconds.
  • Palpatine: Increased lightning damage from 20 to 22.
  • Boba Fett: Modified the behavior of the flamethrower to be more responsive.
  • Boba Fett: Increased Boba Fett’s flamethrower active time from 2.5 to 4.5 seconds.
  • Boba Fett: Reduced time for jetpack regeneration from 2 to 1.6 seconds.
  • Boba Fett: Lock-on distance for wrist launcher added for up to 25m.
  • Boba Fett: Increased wrist launcher rocket blast radius from 3 to 4m.
  • Bacta Bomb: Updated some hero abilities to be more effective against players that are currently under the effect of the Bacta Bomb.
  • Heroes: The health pick-up icon has been updated with a new visual look.
  • Leia & Palpatine: Resolved an issue in which the honor guards could spawn on both Leia and Palpatine when they were out of the combat area.


Game Modes:

  • UI: Game mode HUD is visible when observing the scoreboard.
  • Pre-round: Combined the in-game lobby and the pre-round timer to be the same. Now the game mode will instantly start as soon as you can join from the in-game lobby.
  • Droid Run: The game mode will no longer end if all three droids are held for 20 seconds. Instead once all three are held by a single team, that team will be gaining points. If the point total for either team reaches 100%, that team will win. If no team reaches 100% before time runs out, the team that has held all three droids for the longest time will be the winner.
  • Droid Run: Decreased the time for capturing a droid from 20 seconds to 10 seconds.
  • Droid Run (audio): Tension music has been added and will trigger whenever a team is close to win.
  • Walker Assault: Improved the system which handles uplink activation and deactivation so that the player can’t interact with them once the Y-wings are about to spawn in.
  • Fighter Squadron: Increased the score limit from 200 to 400.
  • Blast: Resolved an issue in which the round would end in draw when the score was 100/99.
  • Turning point: Resolved a bug in which the wining team could switch from empire to rebels if there were rebels present on the final control point exactly when the match ended.
  • Heroes Vs Villains: Changed the starting times. First round starts after 60 seconds, all rounds after will start after a 20 second delay.
  • Extraction: Improved the button call out on the Shield & Shipment controls. Before they could appear visible when they weren’t usable.


Stats & Progression:

  • Diorama: Dengar, Lando Calrissian, and the Cloud Car have been added to the Diorama.
  • End-of-Round Summary: Several key gameplay stats have been added to the end of round screen.
  • Scoring: Resolved a bug which caused the player getting 400 points or more for healing an Honor guard with the Bacta Bomb.
  • Scoring: Removed the event for kill assist & critical kill assist and replaced it with a regular kill. If you deal more than 25 damage to an enemy, you will automatically get a kill.
  • Scoring: Updated the score log and how certain scoring events are presented. Kills will now only state which weapon was used to kill a target as well the name of the target.
  • Scoring: Resolved the issue in which vehicle damage scoring event would clutter the score log when dealing a lot of damage within a very short time-span. Now you will see points accumulate, but the score log will not display any text when dealing damage.
  • Scoring: Explosive bonus and kill streak have been hidden in the score log. Players will keep getting extra points for performing more than 4 kills within a life, but there will be no text in the score log. The amount of Explosive bonus events will be presented in the summary screen after a round has concluded.

July Update Patch Notes

Community Manager

Below are the patch notes specific to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One for the Star Wars Battlefront July patch update.

General:

  • Skirmish: A new mode, Skirmish, is now available for all players.
    - Play Walker Assault or Fighter Squadron against AI bots together with a friend in online co-op, split screen (console only), or singleplayer.
  • Partner: Increased the spawning checks made on partner from 2 seconds to 1 second in order to more accurately determine if you are able to spawn or not. This should make it less likely that players will be able to partner spawn when being close to an enemy before a fire fight has started.
  • Partner: Spawning is disabled on partners if an enemy is within 10 meters, changed from 2 meters.
  • Cloud Car: Resolved a bug in which the blaster VFX incorrectly fired while playing in first person in the cloud car.
  • Scoring: Changed the kill assist event to not trigger a kill and count towards your next trait rank. Now a kill assist will only give score.
  • Team balance: Resolved a bug in which a team could be split and no auto partner assigned if the server had a low player count.
  • Appearances: Resolved the bug that made all Rebel items usable on the Bespin maps without purchasing them.


Maps & Game Modes:

  • Pre-round: Changed the pre-round timer from 60 to 90 seconds
  • Administrator's Palace: Resolved a bug in which Boba Fett could reach an invisible collision box located very high up on the level.
  • Cloud City: Resolved an issue with a misplaced out of bounds area.
  • Cloud City: Resolved an issue in which the capture area for an objective in Turning Point was cut off by out of bounds.
  • Cloud City: Resolved various instances in which the players could fall through the map and not die.
  • Cloud City & Turning Point: Moved back the Imperial spawn locations from the last set of capture points.
  • Cloud City & Walker Assault: Reduced amount of turrets & droid power-ups for the Empire.
  • Cloud City & Walker Assault: Increased the time for AT-AT Pickups to spawn from 30 to 100 seconds.
  • Cloud City & Walker Assault: Changed the AT-ST token respawn time from 34 to 60 seconds.
  • Cloud City & Supremacy: Increased the size on the final Rebel objective and moved it slightly.
  • Cloud City & Supremacy: Resolved a bug in which the hero spawn was outside of the combat area, resulting in the player dying when spawning in.
  • Supremacy: Changed the default respawn time for AT-ST tokens from 34 to 60 seconds.
  • Bioniip Laboratories: Resolve a bug which limited the usage of orbital strike to a few select areas. Now it should be usable a lot more on the open areas on the map.
  • Bespin: Updated various locations where objects weren’t correctly placed next to each other creating breaks on the maps.
  • Twilight on Hoth: Resolved an issue with a DF-9 being partially hidden underground which resulted in players falling through the level when they tried to exit the turret.
  • Hero Hunt: Resolved a bug in which players wouldn’t correctly spawn as a hero and would remain a soldier, making it so no one could be killed and no new hero spawned.
  • Hero Hunt: Resolved an issue in which 20hp was only granted from health pick-ups and not 50hp.
  • General: Resolved a bug in which players could get stuck in the lobby if the teams were unbalanced and the pre-round timer had started.
  • General: Staying in close vicinity of any game mode objective will decrease the cooldown of your star cards.


UI:

  • Spectator: Resolved a bug in spectator mode which caused the charge icon to get stuck in an enlarged state when observing a player in private matches.
  • Spectator: The switch team button has been removed from the spectators view.
  • Private Matches: Players are now unable to switch teams after they have become a hero in hero hunt or heroes vs villains.
  • Heroes Vs Villains: Resolved a bug that would make the UI disappear in the lobby for players on the same team as a player who left the server.
  • Charge: Resolved an issue which caused the charge icon above an enemy to cover the health bar if active at the same time as a level 3 trait was reached.
  • End of Round: Resolved issues which caused text overlapping to occur for stats in some game modes and for certain languages.
  • Partner: We now correctly show the yellow partner color instead of green when playing as a hero or inside a vehicle.
  • Texts: Added the trait descriptions for Lando Calrissian, Dengar, Nien Nunb
  • Text: Resolved various spelling issues, spacing, missing commas etc.


Weapon & Star Cards:

  • Shock Grenade: Slight decrease to bounce speed multiplier and increase to explosion delay to prevent grenade from detonating in air after bounce.
  • RelbyV10: Changed weapon sway from 0.8 to 0.5 and the amount it’s increased by from 0.2 to 0.1. Recoil per shot has changed from 0.3 to 0.1.
  • X-8 Night Sniper: Changed weapon sway from 0.35 to 0.2, increased start damage from 32 to 40, and changed end damage from 20 to 25.
  • DT-12: Increased the fire rate from 220 to 250.
  • DLT-44: Increased rate of fire from 180 to 210 and increased end damage from 13 to 19.
  • EE-4: Changed the dispersion angle from 1.5 to 1.75, reduced the end damage from 10 to 9, and changed the damage falloff range from 20 to 10 meters.
  • Cloud Car: Lowered damage multiplier against Cloud Cars with blasters and Ion Neutralizer
  • Disruption: Changed the penalty time from 2 to 1 second.
  • Disruption: Increased the cooldown for standard from 18 to 23 seconds and upgraded from 16 to 20 seconds.
  • Scout Binoculars: Fixed issue where binoculars wouldn’t spot soldiers in Missions
  • Scout Binoculars: Fixed issue where the binoculars wouldn’t spot enemy soldiers when looking up and down


Heroes:

  • Lando: Enemies failing the Shocking Trap mini-game will die instantly.
  • Lando: Increased the damage dealt to heroes in Shocking Trap from 90 to 100.
  • Lando: The Power Blast ability can be cancelled by pressing the activation button again.
  • Lando: Power Blast has a slight homing effect when fired towards an enemy.
  • Lando: Power Blasts active time has been changed from 7.5 to 5.5 seconds.
  • Lando: Power Blasts recharge time has been changed from 17 to 16 seconds.
  • Lando: Increased the multiplier chances, RISKTAKER: 2% to 5%, GAMBLER 5% to 10%, HIGH ROLLER 10% to 20%, ****’S ARRAY 25% to 50%.
  • Lando X8: Increased the start damage from 50 to 63 and the end damage from 30 to 35.
  • Lando X8: Increased the start damage fall distance from 25 to 40 meters and end damage fall distance from 50 to 70 meters.
  • Dengar: Updated the explosive rush ability to now throw only 3 grenades.
  • Dengar: If an enemy soldier is hit by a grenade and standing still, he will no longer be immobilized.
  • Dengar: The Hurricane Strike ability will no longer instantly kill Luke.
  • Dengar: Regular enemies that are under the effect of the Bacta Bomb will instantly die from the Hurricane Strike ability.
  • Dengar Trait: Increased the traits multiplier, RESILIENT 10% to 15%, BATTLE-HARDENED 25% to 40%, UNSHAKABLE 50% to 60%.
  • Dengar: Increased health from 1000 to 1075.

  • Vader: Can now deflect Lucky Shot and Trooper Bane, but will still be stunned.
  • Luke/Vader: Enemy soldiers will now always die from lightsaber swings even when under the Bacta Bomb effect.
  • Boba Fett: Resolved an issue in which the flamethrower would not affect elevated players correctly.
  • Boba Fett: The flamethrower ability can be canceled by pressing the activation button again.
  • Boba Fett: Flamethrower outer damage distance has been increased from 3.5 to 4.75 meters and the outer damage angle from 25 to 28 degrees.
  • Boba Fett: Flamethrower inner damage distance has been increased from 2.5 to 3.5 meters and inner angle from 17 to 22 degrees.
  • Han Solo: Increased close damage reduction distance from 10 to 25m and increased far damage reduction distance from 25 to 35m.
  • Leia: Increased close damage reduction distance from 10 to 25m.
  • All Heroes: The Disrupted duration for abilities is now the same as regular soldiers.
  • All Heroes: Disruption immunity has been added and will be active for 5 seconds after a Disruption ability hits them.

Star Wars Battlefront Death Star Patch Notes (PS4, PC, X1)

New content for DLC owners:

  • New levels: Five new maps set around or on the Death Star.
  • New game mode: Battle Station
    A new three-phased mode in which Rebels attempt to destroy an Imperial Star Destroyer in order to clear space for a GR-75 and its brave Rebel boarding party. Then, these Rebels participating in an assault on the Death Star in hopes of rescuing R2-D2 before, finally, attempting to destroy the Death Star itself with the help of Luke Skywalker.


New Weapons:

  • TL-50 Heavy Repeater: A heavy blaster with a secondary fire mode which launches an explosive round.
  • K-16 Bryar Pistol: A powerful blaster pistol with a secondary fire ability which allows the player to charge up a powerful shot.


New Star Cards:

  • Laser Trip mine: Can be attached on any surface and will explode when an enemy passes it. It will also scramble the radar of any enemy that gets too close.
  • Medical Droid: A stationary droid that is placed by the player. The droid will send out a “healing pulse” every 3 seconds and reduce the cooldown for the players star cards.


New Heroes:
Bossk:

  • Micro Grenades – The primary weapon fires “micro grenades” which are tiny grenades that deal explosive damage.
  • Predatory Instincts – It changes the visuals so you see characters’ heat signatures. Bossk is also enhanced while the power is active, increasing his damage, his sprint speed, and the cooldown speed of his abilities. This ability doesn’t have a cooldown and can be turned on/off at anytime.
  • Toxic Escape – Bossk throws a Dioxis Grenade and leaps away from the explosion in the direction in which he was moving.
  • Trait: Trandoshan Regeneration – Bossk regenerates part of his lost health when killing enemy soldiers or doing high damage to heroes.

Chewbacca

  • Multi-Bolts – Doubles the amount of bolts fired from his weapon
  • Mighty Roar - Chewbacca roars and empowers himself and his allies. It will do the following:
    • Rebel soldiers receive the Berserker level 3 effect and increased armor for a limited time.
    • Friendly Heroes receive increased armor for a limited time
    • Chewbacca receives increased damage and armor for a limited time.
  • Ground Slam - Chewbacca slams the ground, damaging and pushing back enemies in an area around the point of impact. This ability can be used while in the air.
  • Trait: Furious Firing : Increases the amount of bolts fired from Chewbacca’s Bowcaster by 1 per rank in the trait.


Vehicles

  • New Hero vehicles: Red Five (Luke Skywalker) and Tie Advanced x1 (Darth Vader) will be introduced as new playable hero vehicles on both Battle Station and Fighter Squadron. In addition to this, users will be able to spawn in as “wingmen” whenever Red Five or TIE Advanced x1 are active on the level. Red Five has the following abilities:

• Shields - that prevent the vehicle from taking damage for a short duration or until shields are depleted.
• Proton Torpedoes - that are missiles that track down enemy targets.
• R2-D2 Repair - which will heal a set amount of health.

TIE Advanced x1 has the following abilities:
• Shields - that prevent the vehicle from taking damage for a short duration or until shields are depleted.
• Speed Boost - which will allow the vehicle to briefly fly faster.
• Relentless Assault - which will allow the player to fire the main weapon more rapidly, deal bonus damage and not overheat.

Hut Contracts:

  • New Hutt contracts: Six new Hutt Contracts have been added to the game.


General:

  • Soft lock [Vehicles]: An overheat mechanic has been added to the softlock system.
  • Vehicles: Improved vehicle collision handling, meaning that whenever two vehicles collide they will only deal a small amount of damage to each other and not instantly explode.
  • TIE interceptor: Missiles have been removed as an ability and replaced with a new ability called Laser Barrage. When active, the player fires without overheating for a short duration of time and deals more damage per shot.
  • A-wing: The Shield ability has been replaced with a Speed Boost ability.
  • Skirmish: Resolved a bug in which players could spawn as a soldier with hero abilities if they were playing co-op.
  • Skirmish: Resolved an issue in which players in co-op could spawn in as the same hero if they both activated the hero token at the same time.
  • Skirmish: Resolved a graphical glitch that occurred in co-op when one player would spawn in as a AT-AT.
  • Appearance: With the arrival of the Imperial Officers, the certification for Stormtroopers to remove their helmets in combat has been withdrawn.
  • Skirmish: The multiplayer hand can now be used in Skirmish.
  • General: Fixed various minor issues with Skirmish.
  • General: Various minor UI issues.
  • General: Resolved various spectator issues.
  • General: Updated the localization.
  • General: Various minor audio fixes in the UI.


UI:

  • Soft lock [Vehicles]: Introduced new visuals for the new soft lock system.
  • Appearance: Updated the appearance system and now allows the user to switch heads to the various body types.
  • Unlocks: Now allows the player to filter options to the unlock & Hutt Contract screen. These options are: Active, Unlocked, Locked and All.
  • HuD: updated the player health visual to better illustrate the boosted health that can be gained from the Bacta Bomb.
  • Fighter Squadron: Removed an on screen prompt for the player to be able to exit the cloud car.
  • Hero Hunt: Resolved a bug which caused some hero defeat messages to not appear in the kill log.
  • Chat [PC]: Resolved a bug in which the in-game partner chat was limited to your friends and didn’t work with automatically assigned partners.


Weapons & Star Cards:

  • Scout Binoculars: Reduced cooldown with 10 seconds.
  • Bacta Bomb: Reduced the cooldown with 10 seconds
  • Bacta Bomb: Added a 4 second healing immunity from the Bacta Bomb.
  • Bacta Bomb: Resolved a bug in which users wouldn’t get healed if their health wasn’t at 100%.
  • Bacta Bomb: Updated the logic for triggering the healing effect. Players hit by the Bacta Bomb will get 5 health periodically over 3 seconds (max 30 health). If players take damage during this time, all future health ticks are cancelled.
  • Traits: Players can now equip a trait card on each of their hands. Meaning you can bring two different traits in to the battle.


Traits:
Traits: All traits have been updated and most levels have new abilities. The changes are:
Bodyguard:

  • Level 1: “Explosive damage reduction 30%“ has been changed to “Damage reduction with 10%”
  • Level 2: “Explosive damage reduction 50% has been changed to “Damage reduction with 25%”
  • Level 3: “Explosive damage reduction 50 & Blaster damage reduction 30%“ has been changed to “Damage reduction with 50%”


Bounty Hunter:

  • Level 1: “25% power up chance on kill” has been changed to “10% Faster card cooldowns”
  • Level 2: “50% power up chance on kill” has been changed to “25% Faster card cooldowns”
  • Level 3: “50% power up chance on kill & Kills shave off 80% of cooldown” has been changed to “50% Faster card cooldowns”


Berserker:

  • Level 1: “25% damage increase when hurt” has been changed to “15% bonus to hip fire damage“
  • Level 2: “50% damage increase when hurt” has been changed to “ 30% bonus to hip fire damage”
  • Level 3: “50% damage increase when hurt & 50% armor value when hurt” has been changed to “50% bonus to hip fire damage”


Escape Artist:

  • Level 1: “10% bonus to sprint speed” has been changed to “5% bonus to sprint speed”
  • Level 2: “25% bonus to sprint speed” has been changed to “15% bonus to sprint speed”
  • Level 3: “25 bonus to sprint speed & lethal melee strikes” has been changed to “30% bonus to sprint speed”


Scout:

  • Level 1: “Sprinting doesn’t trigger enemy scanners” has been changed to “Firing blasters doesn’t trigger enemy scanners”
  • Level 2: “Firing blasters doesn’t trigger enemy scanners” has been changed to “Sprinting doesn’t trigger scanner”
  • Level 3: “Killing an enemy resets primary blaster heat” has been changed to “scramble enemy scanners”.


Sharpshooter:

  • Level 1: “Headshots shaves of 25% of card cooldown” has been changed to “15% bonus damage while zooming”
  • Level 2: “Headshots shaves of 50% of card cooldown” has been changed to “30% bonus damage while zooming”
  • Level 3: “Headshots shaves of 100% of card cooldown” has been changed to “50% bonus damage while zooming”


Survivalist:

  • Level 1: “Health regen starts 25% faster” has been changed to “6 seconds to health regenerates”
  • Level 2: “Health regen starts 50% faster” has been changed to ”4 seconds to health regenerates”
  • Level 3: “Health regen starts 50% faster & Kills regenerates 50 health” has been changed to ”2 seconds to health regenerate”.


Heroes:

  • Vader: Regular soldiers that are under the effect of Force Choke will not be able to use melee attacks.
  • Leia: Increased the Trooper Bane cooldown from 14 to 15 seconds.
  • Leia: Increased the start damage from 50 to 53 for her E-11.
  • Leia: Increased the end damage from 25 to 35 for her E-11.
  • Leia: Increased the damage fall off distance from 25 to 30 for her E-11.
  • Palpatine: Increased the base lightning damage from 15 to 18.
  • Palpatine: Increased the block time by 60%.


Game Modes:

  • Fighter Squadron & Battle Station: New power-ups have been added for both the Rebel and Imperial sides. Once activated a group of AI vehicles will spawn in next to the player and engage the enemy in dog fighting for a duration of 60 seconds. The vehicles are:
    • Y-wings and B-wings for the Rebels
    • TIE Bomber and TIE Defender for Imperials
  • Fighter Squadron: AI A-wings and TIE interceptors have been added to the game mode
  • Fighter Squadron: Added Red 5 and TIE Advanced x1 as hero vehicles on all levels.
  • Turning point: Resolved a bug in which players sometimes would spawn outside the map when playing turning point on Clouds_01.
  • Heroes Vs Villains: All players are now immortal during the EoR screen and can’t be killed by turrets or droids anymore.
  • Drop zone [Private matches]: The player count has been changed to 12 players

Stats & Progression:

  • Diorama: Bossk and Chewbacca have been added to the Diorama.
  • Ranks: Increased from 70 to 90.
  • Appearances: New visual unlocks have been added:
    • Stormtrooper with pauldrons
    • X-wing Pilot
    • Death Star Trooper
  • Hutt Contracts: Resolved a bug in which the Scout Pistol and Scatter Gun wouldn’t track towards various contracts.
  • Achievements: Resolved a bug in which the “A New Hope” achievement would not trigger when playing Walker Assault.
