I can't join friends game in Titanfall 2

On PC, with Origin (v10), my friend invites me to a game, however, I don't join his party. I try to invite him to my party, but he is not able to. However, when I try to back out to the main menu, it asks me if I'd like to leave my party. I say yes, but I never actually leave any party. And each time i hit escape, it asks me the same question about leaving the party. As such, I can never leave the multiplayer menu and the only way I can close the game is by using the task manager.

@Commrade_General Thanks for the post, I suspect this issue is related to an overlay conflict with Origin In Game. Some programs have overlays that can lead to odd behaviour when they're used with Origin. 

Can you restart your system with a Clean Boot, then launch just the game/Origin and try again without launching any 3rd party programs?
