Games launching but not loadin

Whenever i hit the play button, it launches tf2, goes to full screen and shows the game creator logos, but it never goes into the main menu and shows a black screen for eternity...

Also you mention a black screen, do you see a loading icon or is the page entirely black?

I'm on Xbox one. I can do the opening game then once that is over I can't load into the the main game
