FIFA 18 wont start

any suggestions for getting fifa 18 to run and not just stay on the options screen?

Ensure that your Firewall and/or Antivirus are not blocking the connection. The easiest way would be adding an exception for the Origin Client and your game to the exclusion list.Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/#1

Add antivirus exclusions(exceptions) specific files Origin, folders Origin or file extensions origin.ex from scanning.(very important to do )

Run the setup file Origin with Admin rights  http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2

So I had been playing it for last 15-20 days since the launch. Yesterday it stopped running for me after windows Update.

My resolution which made it run again.

Manually uninstall update through Programs and Features in Control Panel.

Sign out of Origin completely and uninstall it. 

Now remove the cache files of origin from C:\ProgramData\Origin folder. Remove every folder except for "Local Content".

Now, remove temp files from C:\Users\Username\.Origin. Remove each and every folder and file.

Uninstall Fifa completely.

Reinstall latest version of Origin and reinstall Fifa again. It should start working.
