Battlefield 1 crashes on startup with dx12

My specs are 2x4gb ddr4 ram, i5 6600k and an rx 480 4gb. The problem only occurs on dx12 as if I go back to dx11 (by going in game files) it stops. I really want to know how I can make dx12 work as my rx 480's performance will most likely improve a lot at 1440p. I have the latest gpu drivers installed etc.

Sorry to say, but there is nothing that you can really do right now. The Dx12 option has not worked correctly since launch. I, nor none of my friends can play very stable while having Dx12 enabled. This would have to be fixed via an update / patch from DICE.
