BUG missed playoffs

After losing game 3 (season 40) I got a pop-up message saying I missed the playoffs and I could either continue the season or start the next one. Assuming this was an error, I continued and won the rest of the games. After the last season game it said I missed the playoffs and started the next season. I only lost one game! HELP!
