Update confusion

So, I have Spore. But I have a disc version from 2008, and I am wondering if 1: there are updates I haven't gotten cause i have a disc, and 2: why I can't get some of the patches or things like the exoskeletal parts

I'm not sure about the exoskeletal parts.

But if you want to make sure your game is up to date, register the serial number found on the back of the case, or inside of it, with Origin, and Origin will keep it up to date for you. (This won't work if you got the game used.)

If you can't do that, than check this page for how to get and install updates, (patches), and to check what the newest update is. http://www.spore.com/patch
