Transferring from origin to steam

Hello!

I bought Spore ages ago and I've read alot of posts of people transferring their game over to steam. (NOT ADDING THE GAME AS A NON-STEAM GAME) They actually received a code for steam if they showed proof to EA. Now I tried to get in contact with support but my only option was for them to call me, which isn't possible considering I'm not at home I'm on vacation and it would be uber expensive to call. So I'm hoping someone from EA will see this and maybe contact me for further information?

I can only help in physics gameplay, but do not in client / account issues
