Spore: galactic addition will not install all the way. It gets to where I can hit finish then when I do it opens notepad with a bunch of code in it that is supposed to be the main screen for the game. I have uninstalled the game and tried to install it again and it does the same thing, it has only ever been installed on one other computer right after the game was purchased several years ago. Can anything be done to fix this?

Hi @kataplasmic,

If you have the game on CD, install the setup exe in Compatibility mode.

How this works?

1. Right click on the setup file of the game and select "Properties".
2. Select "Compatibility" Tab.
3. Mark next "Run this program in Compatibility mode" and select operating system from the dropdown list
4. Say ok and start the install
