Spore Crashes upon start

I have some problems with spore.

I recently downloaded spore on my new computer, but it crashes upon start.

it does not give any kind of error message... how do i solve this?

Make sure the program is running in the administrator mode

Those are apparently for windows, i am on the MacBook Air, any other options? ^^'
