Cannot create a new spore account

I want to make a new spore account but I am unable to. The website registration is completely blank and the in-game registration gives me an error upon creating an account stating that my (new) email and my password does not match their servers. I am using the latest Spore version on Origin that is required for Online play so I have no idea why I cannot create a new Spore account. I need some help.
