Its been too long. This game needs to happen, no good current gen skateboarding games on consoles, and even if there were, nothing can ever beat the flick-it controls and nobody else can use them either i'm guessing. So.... whats up?
Can you just sell the IP already? If you aren't going to use it , let somebody else. Sell it. If you're holding it to use in the future then now is the time lol. I know blackbox is gone but you have other teams that can give us a real skateabording , again.
Are you unsure of what to put in a new skate game? Talk to skaters. Fans and pros. study the life, study the culture, watch videos, infiltrate the life and then recreate it for ps4.
here are some ideas
bigger world (gtav size) (one that feels alive with other skaters in always somewhere in the world, like destiny for example, always doing something
pressure flips ( with either foot)
hippy flips with any flip trick
back and front foot versions of every flip trick that can be performed normal, switch, fakie, and nollie
the ability to flow more grinds and slides into each other (ledge dancing , without having to ollie,)
level creators (build more than just skateparks, street spots)
challenge creators (set up photo challenges, contest, jobs, missions, ects anywhere you pick out in the world)
giant list of pro skaters to control in free skate at least
day and night cycle
public events ( grab your buddies and meet at this spot or park for something to do)
daily challenges (film at 4 spots, use different camera angles, try lose trucks, bomb the hill at this spot here on your map, get a board sponser, find a hidden skate spot, use your imagination)
weekly online contest stuff
monthly content drops (new boards, spots, skaters, challenges , dlc, ect)
community coverage (developers look at user submitted content and post it on a social page or something. skate 4 players on mag covers or something or this weeks best video part. that kind of stuff)
the ability to favorite and download created content from the community
fleshed out video editor (easily make video parts with multiple clips )
540 flips
impossibles (with either foot, every stance)
one wheel manuals
animation changes for for the same tricks, style, every kickflip won't look the same.
footing, balance, and run up can affect your skating.
comfort level that raises with exp or number of times you've done a certain trick or type of trick. certain groups can help others lever up or just tricks within a certain group can level up faster if you do those tricks often. trick will be done better and look better the higher your comfort with that trick. it still won't be robotic and look exactly the same every time no matter how high the comfort level is though. footing, balance, and run up can affect your comfort, so can riding up to scary dangerous obstacles or riding up to things switch.
flick speed of the stick can affect the flick speed of your foot and the flip speed of your board.
curb slappin and moonwalkin
stalls that you don't have to ollie into or ollie out of to go back in regular or fakie or revert into
crook backlips
