I will never use real cash on this game or any other game, but I understand what you are saying, I love this game, I stop playing for a few hours then come back and see if my chances are any better to buy or sell items lol

Wow, a year down the line and nothing has been done about this.

I downloaded this game yesterday, as a long time Sim City fan. This game is an embarrassment to the Sim City franchise.

To create a game that involves around creating and trading goods (the city building is a tiny part of this game) with the trading part of the game not working is a joke.

Rated as 1 star as there is no option to give 0 stars.

I'm only going to say this once. And that's because I've never seen it said, but it's blatantly obvious to me. P2w games make money by annoying you. Every bit if science that can go into the market showing you items you don't need, being already sold, almost, nearly, so close to having it! But you didn't get it in time.

It's all 100% intentional and extremely well thought out.

It's to make you get fed up, and click buy money.

Traditional games get rid of annoyances so people will buy them.

P2w games put as many into them as possible. All of which can be removed... By spending real money.

These are the facts. Hopefully people wake up and the industry of p2w games collapses entirely. Until then, we're here whining about problems not being solved after a year. It's not a problem. It's a feature.

If we cannot search items because of server/sql load on EA servers, then can we please have more items on our screen, as specially when you're further in the game and way more items exist, these 20 spaces per page per minute is really way too small to find anything. At a low level when there's not much items, it's not a big problem, but when there's a ton of items, 20 items per minute is way too low. I almost stopped using it, cause I know what I need will never be displayed anyway and I'm wasting my time. It's such a waste of time to try to buy anything. Please give us more items per page, this is more fair compared to low level players.

Re: How to cancel the sale in the global market without losing the items?

★ Guide

I can see  all your  problems  with gt but with clubs in place now can you not ask members if they have the items you Need?  Takes less time to post what you need than to travel around, that being said I have found a lot of items needed in cities advertising  other products.

Diablohell, I couldn't possibly agree with you MORE! It is utterly ridiculous they title the button: "Edit Sale". When, in reality, the ONLY option they allow, is to DELETE the Item! I mean, $&^%*%*&^(*???

Anyway, I have been infuriated about this since Day-1. I have been playing this game since the beginning, despite only just now set up my profile on here, LOL!

All Players:

This thread still remains on this forum? The original post was January 11, 2015.

Two and one half years of suggestions and complaints about the same topic. Would anyone expect that EA will change the problems plaguing the GTHQ. Not a chance. For if they did; it would make the game easier to play without spending real money.

However, if all you players have noticed EA may have done just that - alleviated some of the issues.

Ever since the COM (contest of mayors) started the GTHQ's now gets flooded with items that are or can be useful in taking your city forward because of contest assignments. The only two options to rid your self of mass produced items from COM assignments IS IN FACT - the GTHQ's and Mayor Club trading.

These two facets of the game have created an opportunity for the player to obtain necessary items to move forward. The last 2-1/2 years have been a journey. In my city I have spent close to $4,000,000 Simoleans at the GTHQ's on various items. How do I know that total spent? Master Trader achievement award at $2.5 million spent and the rest I keep track of in a spreadsheet every day.

You can purchase what you need! Not always easy.... but not quite as hard as it once was.

Re: Trade Depot Issues

Problem affecting Global Trade Market is low-level Feeder Cities are focused on skimming high value items such as Storage / Vu / Land / International parts - making them scarcer than they already are.

Capping the amount of these items any given city can gain (in bank + depot) will go some way to reducing the problem.

Capping the amount of an Item allowed to be on trading at any given time and an algorithm for price, if towards the cap the price goes down, this would solve the problem of only spice and wood in the market, tired of constant refresh and what I want is already gone in 1/2 second

Two problems with this attempt at capitalism. It's socialism when there's a price cap(minimum as well as maximum), and you can't easily just trash the sale when you charge to much . Our cities have garbage dumps, and we should be able to use them for our unsellable items.
