There's a tiny bubble with 3 dots [ . . . ] above the island whenever something new is posted in chat.

Other than that, there is no notification to your device if you are not in game, that I know of.

It would greatly facilitate club conversation and play if we could at least get device notifications of posts. Beyond that, trading in clubs is almost impossible--a far cry from the 'easy' promised in the FAQ. Sometimes I feel EA is playing me instead of me playing this game. Step up EA! This game could be way cooler.
