Video Cards with Artifacting after 5.0 [ Edited ]

High CPU demand ?

I sit at over 100fps on fleet with 166 other players with heaps around me 

Edit - I run ultra settings at 2560 x 1440 playing in fullscreen (window)

CPU usage for swtor itself is about 35% combined see below

Just wanted to report that AMD's newest drivers for the RX 200 series still did nothing for this issue (think they came out on December 19th). New thing below. Game still runs great EXCEPT for the artifacting and screen flashes. Starting to see it all over, too. On Zakuul, especially in the swamp area and the sky rendering. Even in some phased areas.

What driver version are you running ? That looks like an issue fixed in a recent Nvidia driver actually and appeared after 368.81

If it is this it was fixed in 372.90

Straulia is running AMD as am I so it may be a similar issue but we are AMD cards not NVidia. In addition, I tried the suggested fix back when this happened in 4.0 and have applied the recommended settings. 

I think this is something that BW/EA needs to address and hopefully will patch with 5.1.

The video that Staulia posted was with a Nvidia 650Ti and showed the issue fixed in a later Nvidia driver version

I believe turning shaders to low was a workaround does that have any affect on what you are seeing ?

My bad ... I had a bad window display and flipped @feliciagm's post for @Straulia... Feliciagm mentioned he had an AMD card in his post but noted he was experiencing the same as me.. 

Unfortunately, no as I mentioned before I have buggered with every setting in the game and it hasn't done anything to help me.   I went through this in the fall when I built this machine and it was rectified via a patch as I had tried 3 different drivers. Still hoping that BW/EA sees they re-released the same problem with 5.0. I like the tuning they did on the graphics but I think they buggered a fair number of ppl and only tested on certain cards.

I am currently asking if there is any update on this issue , but i am away now til Wednesday hopefully have a response by then

Holidays are over, 5.1 has been released, and still, artifacts and flashes abound. Its gotten to the point that my brain has started to practically tune out the issue.

I'm having this problem as well. The game was fine before 5.0.

Tried with lower shaders, with and without shadows and even a clean reinstall of the game, didn't work.

No problems with my other games, only SWTOR.
