After launcher update I am getting "Unable to retrieve patch data. Please check network connection (208)

I have checked the firewall settings and I have bitraider turned off.

strange, it is my FW but I have the three exe's whitelisted. Will have to look into it.

*You can just right click the swtor short cut on your desktop and select "Open File Location" you will then seen the Logs folder near the top.

"Honestly  I would still expect this to be a firewall issue, as turning them off does not exactly open any doors; http://answers.ea.com/t5/STAR-WARS-The-Old-Republic/New-SWTOR-Luancher-Loading-Issue/m-p/4845455#U48... 3rd post down is a walk through".

If Yes then you will Find that the Firewall Exclusions you at present have for your Launcher are invalid.

You can confirm that it is not a blocked address by your ISP by clicking on this link.

It will show you if your area is able to download the patch information also.

10060 is a winsock timeout , this may be related to a AV / Firewall Block but it also can be a port block upstream

Can you ping Launchpad.swtor.com ? If not a VPN may help for now

Remove and Re-add exceptions for both launcher.exe and swtor.com to the AV and Firewall

Nortons (Firewall) set specifically to "Allow" instead of "Auto"

ESET - disable protocol filtering

Kaperskey disable scan secure/encrypted connections

right mouse click on cmd.exe and select run as administrator

type

ping Launchpad.swtor.com

press enter

if this fails to respond it is likely a routing issue , reboot of the modem/ waiting 24 hours is also an option it is likely to come good on its own.
