Graphical glitching...

Every time I put my graphics on max the game becomes really dark as you can see on the 1st image but when i play on very low it gets lighter again for some reason (2nd image) i tried to put on low, medium, high and very high and it all very dark except on very low.
Does someone know how tto fix that?

A lot of the sceneries are really dark and gloomy by design, to get an good balance its best to play  a bit around with the different settings, generally a little less shadow is helpful for less stuttering an good viabilities.
