pvz 2 weeks cannot connect to ea servers xbox360

I bought my son this game for his birthday and it worked fine for 3 days. For the last 2 weeks we have tried daily and it will not connect to ea servers. I have tried the rebooting, clearing cache, reinstall but nothing works at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I bought it a week ago for my son...hasn't worked once.  Can't use it at all unless the connection to EA is established???  Won't be buying another game like this again.
