PvZ GW- PS3/PS4 PlayStation Plus [ Edited ]

I read on the PvZ Garden Warfare website that PlayStation Plus is required to play on ps3...
Can someone explain this part? Because if I cant play without it then I dont want it. Ps3 was never even spoken about much to begin with.

Also i never heard of a game (on ps3) requiring ps+ to play

I would say that is a mistake on their part.

Whoever wrote it probably didn't fully understand PS3 has free online play or just did it by mistake.

It would make no sense to me personally if it required it.

I would say 99% chance it's a mistake

Looks like it's gone now.  It was there at PC release though I remember seeing it.

That and other vendors like the user mentioned picked it up and ran with it.  Not much that can be done about that I doubt.

you cannot play offline- I don't know that it requires ps+ you may just have to have a playstation account.  I do have ps+ and you can only play with someone in your house for 2 player mode- that is the only offline option.
