Plants vs zombies garden warfare update problem

Just bought my son this game , it will not let him do anything in this game because it says there is an update available for it ... It won't let you choose " not now " so when you choose the " update now " option , it then goes to a screen and says that there is no update available at this time !! So he can't play or do Anything with this game I'm so confused !! I need help ! Thanks

This issue is usually fixable with a hard reset of your console. This will reset your XBox One and clear the cache of your console. Just hold down your finger on your XBox One icon on your actual console hardware until the console is shutting down. If you boot the Xbox One again, it will launch with a green Xbox One icon. Try again to launch the update.

If it still won't work, please go to your games library on your console and delete the PvZ:GW data in order to re-install the game from the scratch.
