Going right into garden ops - PS4

Hi, my friend has a problem. When he launches PvZ on his PS4 it's going right in to garden ops, he cant choose what to play in the menu. He bought it on playstation store so he dont have any disc. And we have checked so he got internet connection and has Playstation plus. Please help us

I believe your friend is entering the Streaming install world, this allows players to play and get the hang of the game while the game installs. I believe playing during this time, does slow down the installation process though.

Upon completion, It will ask that you press start, and the full game will boot normally.
