Can't play game - have a very unhappy 6yr old.

Error message reads: Your profile doesn't have the correct permissions to access Xbox Live functionality.

I have a six year old in tears having just been given game as a present. We have loaded update & subscribed to Xbox Gold so why isn't our game working.

How do we gain access to the game ?

What console is this on? Did you just register for Gold or already have it? Do other games act like you have Xbox Live Gold?

Only thing I can think of if the account was just recently updated with gold that it hasn't fully gone through, but you may want to contact Customer Support anyways: http://help.ea.com/
