Chomper moves aberrantly in multiplayer portal

Chomper movement cannot be controlled in the MP portal and Garden Ops. Forward and backwards is intermittent. Character sometimes surges forward and abilities are also dysfunctional. This happens to all users in the portal. Gestures do not alleviate the problem. Other characters move ok. Chomper is happy in the backyard. Thanks for any help!

I am really sorry for those control issues with the game. What platform are you on? Have you ever encountered these issues before? Restarting your console/PC can also fix this.
