Why did the Spectacular Character pack disappear in Garden Warfare?

I have two Xbox Live accounts, and two different EA accounts. They BOTH lost the 40,000 coin Spectacular Character packs at the same time, and the lesser packs that used to give me a character piece most of the time never do now. This last happened in April of 2014, based on another post on this forum. Can this be fixed? I want to buy more characters, and my kids love buying new characters!
