Rank does not transfer, not do characters

I own PvZ GW1 on XBox 360, and I am a rank 198. However, when I turn on my Xbox One, it says I don't own the game. I installed it from EA and I'm a rank 1 in GW1. Why did my rank on GW1 transfer from 360 to XBox One? This is also preventing me from getting my GW1 characters in GW2
