I'm getting the dreaded error about a lost connection to ea's servers when doing anything on my son's account. My son has a sub account on PSN and a child account on origin. The two are not linked.
What am I supposed to do here? This seems like a defect in the game's interface with ea's own servers.

Hey @TriG9
The ratings are slightly different. The not being able to play online under 13 years old is to comply with COPPA. The rating for the game content itself is done independently.
I understand this doesn't help you get in to play but I wanted to explain why they're different.
If you speak with one of our game advisers they can take a look into this to see if there's any way to get your son playing but I can't promise they'll be able to assist with this.
To contact an adviser please follow the steps below:
1. Click on the following link: http://help.ea.com/ (once there make sure that your country is correctly select in top left hand corner of Help.EA.com)
2. Make sure you are logged in (top right corner) and select 'Help with Game'
3. Find the affected game (if it's an account issue select Origin)
4. Select 'Contact Us' at the bottom right on the new page
5. Select your platform and then 'Next'
6. Select topic from the drop down menus, type in a short description of your issue and select 'Next'.
7. Select a contact option. Please note that available contact options do depend on your country settings and time of day.
Thanks,

Hi @TriG9
Because of the age on the account it's not possible to play online. As PvZ is online only it's not possible to use an under 13 account. to play the game.

The game is rated E10+. My son cannot do ANYTHING in this game. Every available menu item, including offline co-op, requires a connection to EA's servers.
I'm uncertain how a game rated E10+ requires an online connection on which EA imposes a minimum age restriction of 13.
