SPAM/SCAM

On POGO, this AM at 8:47 AM Central Time, in Tri Peaks, Daily Challenge, up popped this message in CHAT:

<Removed>

More specific than before, also with a "name" more recognizable in Pogo than then last one.

Pretty sneaky entering rooms on the Daily Challenge when they know everyone will take notice,

especially new folks.

[edit: email address removed], aka Nancy

Answers HQ is not the ideal venue for reporting this type of activity since the naming of sites associated with these activities is forbidden as per the AHQ User Rules and Guidelines.

EA_Kristi is not available today but I have forwarded an unedited copy of your post to her.

In the future for expediency sake we urge you to use either of the following methods to report spam bot activity:

Method 1 - Via the chat room Abuse Report, this method will allow Pogo to automatically capture a real time snippit of the spam message.

  1. Select any player in the Who's here tab in chat.
  2. Click the pull-down icon and select Report Abuse.
  3. Select the type of abuse and enter a short description of the problem.
    • In the Report Abuse pop-up, click Add Players, select the player’s name and click Done.
      • If the player has left the room their name won’t appear in the Add Players list. In this case select Not a Player (you can include the screen name of the offender in your description).
  4. Click Send Report.

Method 2:  Via the Pogo/EA Contact Us link:

1. Click on the following link: Contact us
2. Make sure you are logged in the top right of the page (use your Pogo account to log in).

3. Select Pogo as your platform then select Pogo as your  game.
4. From the 1st drop down menu select 'Report concerns or harassment', 2nd drop down select 'Report player' and then type in the short description of your issue,
5. Click 'Select contact option' and fill in the email form.

If you run into any problems using the above methods let us know.
