Every game I try to play tells me I need Java installed. I reinstalled it and have done all the items on the list for "when your game wont open" but I still get the "You need Java" message.

All - I followed the instructions on Pogo announcements to disable Java 7 and reinstall Java 6 on my MacBook Pro. It worked. Here's the link.

Good luck!

Hello,
If the following Java message appears in a pop-up window
It's probably because the Java plug-in is disabled. Java must be enabled to properly play Pogo game.
All mainstream browsers have an option for enabling Java, which ensures any applets that use it will function properly.
For a complete list of per-browser instructions for enabling Java, visit http://www.java.com/en/download/help/enable_browser.xml
Best regards,
Eve

I get this message also....and yes my Java is enabled. So now what? There are more and more people with this issue. Is this an EA issue? Funny how more than one person is having this same issue.

Eve -
This is happening to a growing number of MAC users. The reported details all seem the same. Re-loading / installing the latest version of Java from the Oracle website doesn't do any good, and all Java parameters on Safari browser indicate that everything is enabled. Something happened between January 10 and January 11 and it appears to be on the Pogo end. Please have your folks look into it. If you are not a Pogo representative, apologies. (however, if you have some pull on the Pogo end, its much appreciated!)

There is a fix out for this problem. The newest Java update has problems. Uninstall and install Java 6.
Go to the Help page for links.

It won't allow you to enable the plug-in. Mozilla says that plug-in is compromised and it should be kept disabled. Why, Pogo would you choose to make us update if the plug-in for that update is compromised. Now everyone that read that answer is going to use a plug-in that is not safe for their computers? Shame on you Pogo for not checking the Mozilla website.

When I install the latest version, it says it is not secured or not protected. It recommends installing java6, i have done both. I wont install a java update if it is not secure.
