Pvz2 not working with Game Center on iPhone 7 plus

Pvz2 not working with game center online iPhone 7 plus ...transferred from iPad progress ...uninstalled now the game won't reinstall...play this more than any game...but a lot of money into it....what's the problem?

@xfridaddyx Hi, is the OS for your phone updated? There was a recent patch (5.8.1) for the game and it has a requirement of iOS 8.0 or higher.

Could this be a factor? The iphone 7 plus should definitely be up for the task, but perhaps it needs updates.

Hey, did you get the chance to make it work? This is my current problem and I can't play

It is NOW working! 

I went to the update section of my Iphone and click the "OPEN" button from my Plants vs. Zombies update last June 13, 2018. Then, I click the regualr icon in my Iphone menu. It allowed me to play and now I am scared to close it LOL.
