I have been playing PvZ2 mobile on android since the beginning. I have changed phones before and had no issue transferring my game progress. However, when I recently purchased my latest new phone and downloaded the game to this phone it keeps trying to make me go through the whole game again!
I have my Google+ account linked like I've done before. My achievements show but none of my game progress. I had gem purchases and everything but there is not even an option for "Restore Purchases" like there was in the past. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, restart phone, sign out and back into my Google + account.
Also, I've tried to "talk with a game advisor" but there seems to be no option for me to chat or even get a call from a game advisor. only the Email option.

The transfer functionality is broken. According to what I read it's due to a change on Google's end.
I've got the same situation. Can't move my game from my tablet to my new phone. It socks.
