how do you get custom content on sims pet stories?

hi i have been wondering how you get  custom content to work on sims pet stories and what content rely works.... i have made the download folder on my storage in the game storage but no mater what i do i cant get it to work  if anyone could find me a YouTube tutorial that would be so much help!!!! and could link some content that works too!! thanks for reading!!
