The Sims 2

I have The Sims 2 and The Sims 2 Deluxe on Origin which was placed there by support since the original game does not work on my computer.  I had all my expansions loaded and I have the list of the order they should be loaded.  Now it says that The Sims 2 needs to update but there isn't anywhere I can go to update it.  Now my games will not work and I cannot uninstall them to reinstall them.  I think it is terrible of Origin/EA not to have support for the Sims 2 after all the money we spent on the games.  I personally (even though I own some) don't like Sims 3.  The Avatars look awful, the clothes are stupid, the hair is crummy etc.  The Sims 2 had much better looking people, clothes etc.  If anyone can help, please reply.  I want to play Sims 2
