The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection: mansions and gardens accessories bug

When i open The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and try to make new person my game stop and shows the message "The Sims 2 mansions and gardens accessories. The program was interrupted. Application is closed" i dont know what to do mileysad: . I saw the advice to uninstall the game but  will I be able to install it again for free? Because the free version was available to the end of July.


I have Windows 8.1 ! And all the apps are updated.

If the game is registered on your account, you are able to donwnload the game as many time as you want

But before you reinstall the game, try to put the Compatibility Mode on Windows XP (Right click on the Sims 2 and click properties. Then go to the compatibility tab and check the box named 'compatibility mode' then set the drop down menu under it to Windows XP)
