Sims 1 rights will they port it for iOS

Does ea games have the rights from maxis to make the original sims for iOS and android? if so will they?, given devices nowadays are more powerful and can handle it.

I'm sure we have the rights, but it looks like for iOS we've made ports of more recent Sims games. As you say we have the technology now, but we've skipped over some of the older content.

Hello, can you PLEASE make The Sims 1 or The Sims 1 Online available for IOS? Windows 10 and origins and so on doesn’t support that game. As you probably know they recently launched the original Rollercoaster Tycoon for IOS and it has mega hits. Many people would buy it for nostalgia, basic sim players and more. If you can release it and soon that would be amazing.
