I know this was a few months ago but can you remember how you did that? And if so could you link me to something that explains it/ debrief me cos I'm not great with tech but I don't want the game to go to waste. Thanks!

where did you get the no/cd exe?

If you have the original game (disc), then no. Windows 10 restricts a lot of old computer games that have securom and safedisc DRM. The only solution I can think of is buying Simcity 3000 on Gog.com. The game will run fine from Gog since it has no DRM and Windows 10 won't block the game from playing.

Why couldn't you install the game in compatibility mode, the run it in 680 ×480 windowed environment

How did you apply a non-cd exe?

If anyone else is still looking for a way to play 3K the GOG build seems to run fine on Windows 10 and I think there are unofficial patches to make it play a bit nicer with a modern OS.
