I installed NFS Carbon but it is not working in Windows 8.1 When I click on the app, nothing happens. My specs are core i7, 2670 QM; 2.2 Ghz, Graphics- NVIDIA Geforce 525M, Ram - 4 GB.
I tried changing compatibility mode to xp service pack and also ran the program as an admin. Still it does not work.

Especially with a laptop, you may need to set up a GPU profile to ensure your video card (525M) is used instead of the video processing hardware in your CPU.

I have removed that old link now.
Try the following to help ensure your GPU is being used (assuming nvidia). Note: the game folder and .exe may be named differently but you get the idea
Please try this and let us know if you are good to go.

The best solution for NFS Carbon to work in Windows 8 or 10 is:
1) download [Edit - Admin.]
2) download [Edit - Admin.]
3) download [Edit - Admin.]
Keep all of these files in the NFS Carbon directory. Cheers.
